I would love it if Poles could get the depth to the point where if a player doesn’t show the enthusiasm to be on the Bears he can trade the guy and fill the spot with the depth. I’m looking at you Nate!

Developing players is the way to success in the NFL, especially since we have some stars here that will cost a bundle to keep. Theo is one of those guys with a good head on his shoulders, smart and determined and stubborn. Crossing my fingers for this young man and hope he plays great and has a big career with the Bears. Hey Adam, got to be here to support my fellow canadians. The bears have a rich history of drafting and taking Canucks as UDFA's and Benedict is the next in a long line. He will easily make practise squad and by the following season will be on the 53 man roster as a capable backup at multiple positions.

Worth a flyer, I like his trais if he sticks it is a A+ as it costs nothing no pick and very little money, Nothing wrong with adding both NON drafted AND drafted talent to the O line every draft no exceptions.
Good report Swifty! Problem with this player can be if 9 or 10 other teams were after him to sign him after the draft if the Bears keep him on the practice squad one of those teams might take him and sign him to their roster so they could keep him.

the great thing about player development is guys like Benedet & DL Kromah will be 10 to 15 lbs muscle stronger come next year or later this season and that will propel them up the roster board.

So he is getting snaps at Tackle. I thought with his size he could move to Center/LG. He holds up well, can't imagine what he would do with 30lbs of muscle added. Guessing a team would claim him off our Practice Squad so.. He is fighting for a job. You can protect 2? Players a week I believe so... If he was on the Practice Squad we could protect him, but I very much doubt he would pass waivers. This guy vs most Teams OL 10 is an easy decision.
Would be really fascinating if both this guy and they guy from Yale pan out.
You have to develop players as an organization. Still hoping to see J’tyte (sp?) Carter take the next step. This new guy sounds very encouraging.

Stack the trenches , this dude can potentially be the glue if we can move him around if our line gets banged up.
When you can get Australia’s best punter and Canada’s best guard, that’s some draft.
He will become a starter in a year or two, bank on it.

Whose our backup Guards? 🤔 Carter can play RG. The Guard depth we thought we had is actually starting at Center, so Center may have depth. We got the Yale/Chicago kid at Tackle, I think he gets on the field at Guard quicker.

Don't think he will play guard. Up to the draft I heard some QB coach in a podcast tell that an undersized QB like Caleb it would be problematic having too tall guards. No higher than 6.4 he recommended.
Well THE Philadelphia Eagles have Tyler Steed and Landon Dicksrson playing Guard and they are both 6 foot 6. Jalen Hurts is the same height or slightly shorter than Caleb Williams
