Yeap I came to see real ..but it was fucked up she could not say Ross name or speak in relation to Supremes ..Ross and Gordy must have been really fucking her over
He was slaying it on the Soul Train Line. He was the epitome of Cool, class, and a brother and father you want to hang with. dance with and have a good time with. Thank you God for giving us this man and the gift he brought to television. Peace Love & Souuuulllll!
I grew up watching Soultrain EVERY Saturday morning, I don't remember ever seeing Don dance! This made my day! Don Cornelius was definitely the coolest man on tv! 🤩😍❤
RIP Don Cornelius! It breaks my heart his life ended this way. I wonder if he realized how ma people truly loved him for all the joy his show brought to so many of us? Can't imagine life being half as much fun w/o Soul Train to look forward to every Saturday morning! Love you Don, for making it happen!
Mary wilson passed away last night. an original supreme who carried the group after diana went solo. Similar to otis williams of the temptations. A real diva herself. This classic soul train moment is shocking as her death. These folks mean alot to us. Research them... They were icons.
As a teenager, I watched Soul Train every Saturday. I always knew Don Cornelius was older than the dancers, just now realizing he was actually older than my parents. Just imagine your dad being that 😎. Lol!
In the 70’s we watched this show EVERY Saturday morning- We lived near Philadelphia and each time we traveled under a train overpass I thought of THAT train being the Soul Train ✊🏽!!
America soul is the shit RIP soul train😔 I would wake early on Saturday morning to watch soul train man those was the best years of my life on Williams street in Compton ca then I would go ride my bike to whaley jr. High school dam I miss those days riding on back of the ice cream truck
absolute joy. GOLD. I remember watching this episode with the 70s Supremes. Im just glad to have been alive and a teen in 20th Century Soul Train still is a big inspiration to me
Check these folks out. No need for boring gyms back in the seventies the dance floor was your workout and you can't get in any better shape than these guys having fun while you do it. Long live the beautiful memories of the seventies. I want to go back to that happy time in America!!!
Time flies when you're having fun, I was a teenager when I watched Don dance down the soul train line back in the 1970s, now it's 2021, wish I could go back.
American Soul did this scene no justice. While I’m a definite fan of The Jackson Five. James Brown song was a definite tune to make you wanna dance and Don Cornelius DID THAT!
Yeah you could dance with me. 😉 It the way he said it. Don you sly fox. It would take a Supreme woman like Mary to get him to dance on his own show. Going on Mary with your bad self. May you both rest in peace.
@@darrellgThe704 The one in the yellow is Mary Wilson, founding member of the Supremes. This was filmed in 1973. The later part of the clip, he is dancing with Jean Terrell (white suit) who sang lead in the group from 70 - 73, and Lynda Laurence (purple dress), who replaced Cindy Birdsong when she departed in early '72.
I worked with a lady who's husband loved Soul Train. On Saturday mornings, everyone knew not to bother him until Soul Train was off. Both husband and wife have passed away. I visualize Don teaching Frank how to do the line dance, it bought tears to my eyes and a smile!
Anybody here watching this clip after watching the series American soul on BET...just fact checking! Love this series😂😂
