I had that same engine in my 750. It's a terrible engine. I drive a 740 now. When I was considering another 750 the salesman and the service manager both advertised me to not buy it and to get the 740 instead. I'm glad I did. The inline 6 engine is flawless. The 4.4 V8 in the 750 was drinking oil like crazy. BMW rebuilt it at no cost to me and after a few weeks the problem came back. I had to drive with a gallon of oil in my trunk at all times. It was ridiculous. I'm glad that car is out of my life. My V8 Range Rover Sport, by comparison, has been flawless, flawless, flawless.
@Busterburg I don't understand why Alpina accepts it. I like the 7 Series and wanted to buy a B7 but it uses the same 4.4 engine, so I won't buy on. If Alpina used the inlluie 6 and put some horsepower behind it, i'd consider a B7 with that engine. AMG wouldn't accept such a crappy engine from Mercedes without making it better. Alpina shouldn't accept it from BMW.
@carycoller3140 the definitely shouldn’t. Hopefully moving forward they will adjust and make sure they are doing more than a tune and upgraded interiors.
I have a Huracan LP610-4 pictured left. I've had it for 2 1/2 years, so I'm starting to feel the itch... The only car I'm interested in is the 720s in Papaya Orange. The problem: the Huracan has been absolutely flawless. Not one issse. That's right. Not one. I put gas in it and drive it daily all year round in Canada. Winter? It doesn't care. It's an Audi..... I'm not interested in "issues", which is why I bought it, and not a Ferrari or a McLaren. On the one hand, I think I've got to be a complete idiot for wanting something other than the Huracan, but I'm interested in more performance and something new. Ferrari, no. Overpriced for the performance, and just as unreliable. I fear the Huracan is the awesome girlfriend you broke up with to date the hot chick, and then found out she was nothing but drama, so you're stuck with her wishing you had your ex back, but it's too late. She's moved on... ;)
I feel you on that. Once you have a car that gives you that level of reliability it’s tough to move in to another one. I haven’t had issues with my McLaren’s but other people have. For me the look and driving of the McLaren makes it worth the gamble.

Yeah I’m not sure why the BMW 4.4 V8 has so many issues. The car is still not fixed I don’t have any idea if or when I will get it back.

It’s a gamble
Finance guy to the rescue ... something you rarely hear ;-)
I know exactly right.
Wish the feedback on build quality for McLarens was better.
I have talked to some people and theirs is perfect. So it seems to be inconsistent but not always bad.
I love the idea of adding more carbon fiber to the outside, definitely would make it cleaner. overall love the car.
Thanks, I’m looking at a few different brands of carbon trying to decide who to go with. It’s coming soon.
Great can't wait to see what's ahead.
Was the Laser emitter the issue?
We adjusted them and it seemed to fix the issue.
How much it cost ?
