I'm a lifelong fan of Newcastle Utd, but I honestly believe that the penalty decision by VAR was correct. If you look at the incident in slow motion, the ball hits the defenders thigh as he is pulling his hand down towards his back and the ball doesn't make contact with any part of his hand or arm. It definitely shows the ball going over the top.
Newcastle is such a solid team. We played one of the best games this season and this could have gone either way. So proud of our boy Willlock. To many more thrilling encounters
A game of fine margins. Having said that, Arsenal were the better side and deserved the win. We were off in many areas, especially mentality. We got involved in the emotional side to the detriment of our game.
