Zakir looked a little overwhelmed with "Tapasee"'s presence. But damn what a natural storyteller he is.
zakir seems like a guy with whom you can sit with a beer and listen to his entire chest of stories.
Zakhir is so cute.. He is telling the stories to the audience unlike other guests who never make eye contacts with the crowd
Talk show etiquette demands the guest to look at the host and answer questions. They occasionally look at the audience and appreciate laughter by thanking them etc. Watch Johnny Carson, David letterman, Oprah, Jay leno, Conan, Ellen Kimmel or any other talk show and you'll realise that's just how it is.

These are edited (jump cuts) - but I agree it kinda looks abrupt and absurd at times. In reality, I am pretty sure its not like that.

I haven't seen Taapsee's work (yet) but nowhere in this video did I find her "irritating" or bragging. Everyone does some ironical bragging, including Zakir (I'm a fan, don't kill me). She took all the bantering she received from Zakir and Abish very playfully and lightly; and intently listened to the achievements and stories of the former. Stop giving people flak for no reason.
