Dirt cheap sheath knives have their place... getting beat on with batons doing bushcraft, gifted to kids as training implements, lost by kids, taken in the Gulf and rusted up as dive knives or lashed to life jackets, truck knives in the bottom of tool boxes, oyster knives, double duty as gardening trowels... you know, things you'd never do with a $300 or $400 sheath knife, even though you bought "quality" and certain brand names "just in case" you got to abuse your latest $400 Randall or Falkkniven 🤣
