- Don’t make these common mistakes when talking about money in English. One of the best ways to learn a language is from identifying common mistakes. In this English class, I will show you common mistakes learners make when talking about money. Do we use “much” or “many” with money? How do we pronounce words like “bought”, “budget”, and “mortgage”? These words have tricky pronunciations. Do we “win” a salary or “earn” a salary? What are the different meanings of “bill”? Find out the answers to these questions and then take the quiz to practice what you learned. www.engvid.com/learning-engli...

Emma, thank you for more one terrific lesson. I guess, Brazilian people prefer to pronounce money using British accent because of the Pink Floyd's music "Money", very popular here.👌😍🌹❤

Hi, I have studied English for more than 10 years, and I still cannot master some phonemes in English. It could sound funny but to us Brazilians it not difficult the "th sound" (it was difficult only in the beginning), or the "r" sound, but in my case and to many other students not only from Brazil, I am quite sure it is the "dark L", I will explain what I mean, it's not so difficult to pronounce "world" but to speak the "L" correctly like a native speaker in the words ended in L I'm sure it is. To many 'FEW" 'FILL" AND FEEL is pronounced all the same as FEW, I know that vowel sound is different but here I'm speaking specifically about the that last sound of words ended with L, because in English naturally is to the same as in French or Spanish, actually it is kind of hidden or disguised, and it frustrates me a lot because it the only phoneme I could not speak like a native speaker of English and I don't see many teachers teach specifically about details in pronunciation. Specifically, about Portuguese from Brazil we speak the ending L as "W" (We speak Brazil as Braziw) and the other varieties of Portuguese and all the romance languages like Spanish, Italian, French etc, they really speak L in case of words ended with L.
I appreciate your videos on youtube and thanks for your attention.
emma is the best teacher

Hi~ Miss Emma, My name is Terrence from HK. May I ask you a simple question about a simple sentence "I go to school by bus" ? I want to see if my understanding is correct. In the sentence "I go to school by bus", are there two prepositional phrases "to school" and "by bus" or only "by bus" is a prepositional phrase as adverb to modify verb "go" ? I want to know if "to school" is also a prepositional phrase as a noun or "to" and "school " act as a preposition and an object seperately ? Thanks for your help.
I am your fans🙌!
