Jack: literally having a meltdown
98% of the audience: Whooo!!!
The indian guy plagiarizes songs and then ask for help? WTF
u mean 90% of what artist go through? yeahhh
@@lukegibson9410 If you watched the movie entirely he is actually crying out for help. He doesn't know how to feel of what he's doing until the Russian guy and penny lane lady talks to him. It's not about plagiarism but history, you can't just literally forget the greatest things that happened. On one hand he's doing them a tribute on other he's making profit out of it yet reluctant about it because he know it's unfair.
@@nanyafahkinbiznes1352 He didn't know that what he was doing was wrong? Taking credit for something he didn't do?
@@lukegibson9410 boy do you have reading disability?
I suppose it's pointless to ask you to watch the movie entirely to understand.
John Lennon said the song “Help!” was a true cry for help. They used this info to play it off perfectly in the movie.
Daniel Seneriz he wrote it in literally one night as a cry for help
Chase Morrone made u get 1k likes 👍🏻

This is 100% the best scene of the whole movie, they covered this song in the perfect way to express his feelings and it was done flawlessly. Props to whoever thought of it
Props to your Prince icon
100% FANTASTIC VERSION!!!
Love the harder edginess.
Yes. You can hear him struggle and his voice start to break at the end of the song, just the pure depression and fear in his voice is beautiful to Express this scene
the scene right after compliments this so perfectly too. its really sad

Damn that’s deep
Man when I watched this and heard him say "Help me!" like that. it shook me. They just think it's for the song, but he's actually in pain.
Yeah, that was the most 'real' scene of the film for me. Imagine being in a world that has changed so drastically in 12 seconds and suddenly feeling like you're completely alone in a parallel universe.
LondonSpade exactly. Such a fantastic film.
And in the original version, John was literally cried for help. They took that seriously in this movie.
r/im14andthisisdeep
Stunning observation
I love that they incorporated in-ear monitors into this movie. It's just the perfect touch of realism. Also how they just exploded into the song without a count-in shows that they're all playing to a click!
Yeah but he isn't playing that guitar at all
@@samyoung3592 wdym, looks like he's playing the right chords when you can see his hands
I love the punk rock style of this version. It fits really well with the angst and internal conflict he's experiencing in this scene. Awesome rendition! 🤘🔥
this song is proof of how big a influence the Beatles were on punk rock
The damned help version is another punk version

@@prometheustv6558That’s a stretch. It’s just keeping tempo man.
Jack: HELP MEE
Ellie: hm. He is really into this song
I think the reason why Ellie kissed him was because she realised that the song was a cry for help. After he shouted HELP MEEEEE, she started crying a little bit.
I was there! I was in the crowd as one of the extras!
was the crowd actually that big or was it a smaller crowd?
Was it edited or real
@@lizz9896 It was that big - no CGI
@@cinnamon5709 It was real - they got a load of extras for the crowd
how many takes did it take himesh to play help and did he do other songs too?
The movie is basically a Mandela effect
Nop
Not even close
Coca'Cola but it kinda is though
A section of the population remembers something different to how it actually is in a consistent way. 3 characters remember, its not wide spread enough to be a Mandala effect
Your idea of what a mandela effect is more of a mandela effect than this movie.
My only problem is that the band has no umbrella
Sad rango noises
Ringo is depressed he didn’t get to play the umbrella
Huh?
The fact that they played the drums instead of riding a bicycle is a bummer

Bazly Rahman I was disappointed that “Don’t Let Me Down” wasn’t in the movie. This song makes more sense considering the situation.

OMG the movie was soooo smart for using the song ''Help'' for a scene where the character needs help! 10/10 this scene is a masterpiece

This scene is actually really good, not the film itself though
@@TheFlowerofSpades I wouldn't say it stands out at all tbh.
the scene is good the movie no
I like how it is used in the movie to express that jack wants help (roll credits)
The lyrics fit perfectly with his situation
Well, i mean, that's exactly what Lennon was doing when he wrote the song.
Wait, are you telling me the scene in which Jack is singing the song, "Help!" is him asking for help??
This is my most favorite Beatles cover of HELP, playing on live TV in front of a big crowd full of screaming fans at an obscure, rundown hotel. Triumphant!
JED YOU PLAYED THIS SONG HELP IN FRONT OF CROWDWHEN YOUR HEMMORIOD THE BLEEDING KIND WAS ACTING UP
My favorite scene. The perfect song choice for where his head was at. The perfect emotional delivery of the song itself. I wish the entire movie had this kind of connection to the reality he was living at the moment.
Awww, I love his friends holding the "play the summer song" sign.
As an amateur musician, this film is actually what I was daydreaming of in detail (Except I included my now sadly dead band-mates who all died way too young. Marc, Chris and Carl RIP-
Sorry to hear that
That makes the two of us, buddy.

Same experience, same broken dreams, same bad taste in my mouth,Bro.
Sorry for your loss.
By far the best acted scene in the whole movie
They missed a big opportunity at playing "Helter Skelter" on the studio scene or in this one. Even though this version is decent and it fits perfectly with the context.
Help sounds like Green day covering the song
What is your favorite Green Day song? Mine are Holiday and 21 guns

I find it pretty shocking that the last 'help me' is a good 10-30 decibels louder than anything else in the film.....
I felt soo many goosebump when he started singing Help!
That one friend that’s all about the summer song😭😭 a true friend ❤️❤️

I'm sure it is edited down, but the way it rockets into the song is terrific! It goes at such a pace, but love the 'laid back' playing of the bass & guitarist in the band. The film is really good with the bonus of this scene in it (another really good one is 'Back in the USSR').
I believe the reason why Ellie went into his room and kissed him was because she understood that the song was a cry for help.
Wasn’t that just his imagination? When he looked up she vanished.
SHE IS THE ONLY ONE YOU IS LISTENING TO THE SONG THE REST WAS JUMPING UP AND DOWN JUSTIN
I bet money that the majority of the people that are complaining that this is a "garbage rendition" didn't even watched the film. This music in this particular scene was supposed to be like that, to show what the character was going through.
Hilnner Farias right!! This was one of my favorite parts of the movie!!
Not to mention, everyone was trying to change it to make the songs appeal to the modern sound
Just because it was supposed to be like that doesn't mean it's not garbage, watching a Beatles related movie you'd expect good music
@@itscrono7073 and it is good. Just not the original.

Anyone else get kinda mad when Ellie said she was seeing someone else. And then she like hugged him in front of Jack.
She was trying to make him jealous thats the point
Ellie absolutely deserved better than Jack
Duder god damn right. Gareth was a nice guy and had his own studio and everything.

You could tell throughout this song that he really was screaming for help. Since this is one of my favourite Beatles songs and there was so much emotion poured into this version, I don't mind that it's not a straight cover. Especially as the song was originally a cry for help. That's why it's called "Help!"
I live near this beach, the town is called Gorleston-on-Sea. I remember when they asked people to turn up to be background characters, but they had to turn away lots of people because there were too many!
I literally live 5 minutes from where this is filmed and had zero idea they were even there filming haha. That's Gorleston Beach for anyone interested, the building he is standing on is the Pier Hotel, it does decent Pub Lunch food. The round building next to it is the Ocean Rooms which is kind of a night club. Infront of that is the amusements which be rides passed on his bike before getting hit by the bus. That little building between the Pier hotel and the Ocean Rooms is a block of toilets :P Gorleston Beach has been a good kept secret for many, many years. I imagine it will be busier from now on, which is kinda sad in a way.
You shoulda sneaked in as one of the extras
It's a lovely place Thanks for the info.
Its the drums, shows you just how much of a god ringo is.

Lol. I love his dad with the sandwich. hahaha
Mom and Dad always bring you back to reality, "you're not going to eat all of these are you?"
I couldn't even imagine a world without the beatles.
Love the punk rendition of "Help". BIG shout out to Ian the owner of the Pier Hotel. Be seeing you soon down the pier!
John described 'Help' as a primal scream at a time when things were becoming increasingly crazy for the fab four.
Always liked the shots of the people who remembered the Beatles
This works so amazingly well as a punk song, especially in this context.
Never realized how much I love and needed this song till I heard it like this
This a legit good cover would love to hear a studio version
Cuando empiezo a entrar en crisis existencial escucho la versión the beatles
Cuando ya tengo la crisis existencial a todo escucho esta versión y en verdad que es toda una liberación. Jeje
I like how he's strumming the guitar up down up down only
Can’t not get chills with this scene
In a Queen version of Yesterday this scene I think would have “Under Pressure”
このアレンジでカラオケで歌いたい
I like how this movie shows how the Beatles were ahead of their time
Man this movie got me thinking about parallel universes and how stupid and unfair things are
cant belive he wrote this!!
Happy birthday Paul McCartney, you’re 80 and still alive doing shows
If this was an album release for this big a star the CG should have literally people on the water and miles away.
Such an underrated movie 🥰🥰
As a huge Beatles fan I didn't want to see this movie but I have seen a couple of clips and I think it is actually a really good movie. Okay gonna check out some more clips now ;-)
Watch the movie, it's really good.
@@itsjemmabond I've seen it already it is indeed really good
The friend with the 'Play the Summer Song' sign has a lot of 'PLAY JAJA DING DONG!!!' energy
When will it be enough?
Lily James facial expression after he screams, and after he plays the first part of yesterday reinforces my opinion that she is a fine actress. Kind of like Kirsten Dunst's face in Spiderman 2 when she see's that Pete is Spiderman. just can't teach that.
He skipped and went straight to starting it off with, when i was younger so much younger than today, he missed a lot of lines
Jack: “HELP ME IM ACTUALLY IN PAIN, ELLIE I LOVE YOU COME BACK”
Everybody:Oh this is such a lovely song
I just really like how they made the movie in a way that centers Ellie as the person whom Help! Is being sung to.
Guitar tabs are middle 2 strings 2nd fret then 6 4 4 power chord to 9 11 11 power chord then 7 5 5 power chord the breakdown is 244 power chord then 022 power chord then go to lowest string 355 power chord 244 and 022 all are played on the middle 3 strings but on breakdown it’s all one string lower and then the bottom
One of the greatest movies that I’ve ever seen
If you think this version of help is bad look up John Farnham he did help it's rubbish
It delivered what's supposed to deliver, not rubbish at all if look on a full picture. But yeah, I get your point, all alone it's not a good rendition.
I love John Farnham's version.
I love this version
If you think this version is bad because of the singing, it was because jacks supposed to be really nerve racked about getting found out.
This guy performed in front of an audience of 6000 to film this scene he’s gonna be nerve racked obviously
Too bad he left out the three "Help!"s at the start, that's usually my favourite part.
If only they did the full songs I would watch a 5 hour movie easily.

Amazing Scene.
How did he tell the drummer how to do the parts to this song? He’s not a drummer so how would he know.
shhh
Greenpewdiepiebird "hey, listen to this guitar and harmonise with it"
almost all drum set music is just a simple beat. drummers embellish it with fills but that's often improvised, so all jack had to do is tell the drummer the basic gist of it
@@bluecar996 yes because drums can harmonise with a guitar...
@Archangel Micheal Sure, as long as he knows what key it's in. Sorry, old Ringo joke, I know. I'll see myself out.
Can we have a song without the crowds cheering really love this version
This was amazing
This scene is amazing,
Yo I live in the town this was filmed I live there dudes I saw this I live in Gorleston yeet: Danny Boyle came to our college and invited us to be on the beach scene
john lennon composed "help" slower than the version we know, but paul wanted it a bit more upbeat. now we see in the movie they made it even faster i don't know if thats what their purpose was but nice detail
1:02 My speakers I guess are really thumping the distorted voice makes me think someones yelling at me 😂

Man I really wanted to LOVE this movie. But I felt it was a bit underwhelming. Of course the songs are great. But given the premise and concept for the movie it just felt the execution was sloppy, poorly written and just lazy.
