Lets hope for a half decent autumn run..
Perhaps that fish judging by its colour change could have been a springer...which is most reassuring.
Ive caught them upstream at Lee &Green hall in May.
Tight lines safe wading and the patient swing of the fly ( Ared Ally for autumn perhaps)

Hi great video Paul and congrats to your wife and son. Wow - a 13.5lb salmon is an amazing achievement, what a fish! Sorry that you lost your fish, it happens to us all! I wondered how one can get a permit for this beat as I couldnt see it on fishpal? Looks like some very good water :-) thanks, Ben

It is called Nunwick but it is not commercially available. The other bank is Chipchase which is on Fishpal

Imagine how this river would've fished 5,000 years ago. No pollution, next to no people and salmon of 50lb muscling their way up stream. Sadly gone forever but its great to see a few coming back again.

I fish the Norht tyne a lot. We put them all back now. The numbers are sadly down. Too many seals in the river which arent being removed plus climate change. A sign of the times unfortunately

Yes it definitely would have been. Got to say that the service we had from Rod and Tackle was excellent
