Thanks for the acknowledgement. The problem is indeed a lot simpler than it first appeared. My main issue was to make sure that any small change to, either the text, or the address, had a completely different result without any artifacts of the previous text or address. I had approached Jonathan Basile before I started sharing some of my ideas regarding the encryption, however, he was not very much help, as you may understand. The program though is really like a magic trick. There is no magic and having written the program and seeing it work took all the mystery away. Having said that though, the program does exactly what it claims. If you take any encoded information, you can think of it as living in a particular place, like a complicated multiplication table of sorts. If you have the information, you can calculate that place, if you have the place you can calculate the information. When you explain it like that, the magic disappears. People still want to search for some deeper meaning. Best regards, David Coleman
Well not really because The library of babel contains every book ever and ever will be. But I do think it's symbolic 'cuz any book you could think of (in a realistic sense), is readily available.
It's really a big substitution cipher when you think about it.
Would you put to download?
Its nice to see people try to make the library in multiple programming languages!
Underrated
