This was more like a tech demo I guess. Anyway, it is quite amusing to play. I played this with my 7 yo son.
Technical info : This was recorded with Dolphin and Visual Biy Advance. You can connect those.

I loved this game back in the Gamecube days. Was so much fun, and connected gamers across generations.
I wish they'd remake this, would easily work as a mobile port :D

On Namco Museum, Pac-Man VS can be also done without a second Nintendo Switch if you're aiming for three players.
It's something amazing to hear Charles Martinet (Mario) as an announcer in a game that is not from the Super Mario Series.
I thought it was Paper Mario: Color Splash.

Mario being the announcer of Pac-Man Vs. must've foreshadowed that Pac-Man would make it into Smash 4.
This also wasn't the first time Pac-Man and Mario Crossed over...
as it also happened in Mario Kart.

@@DeadRaymanWalkingI realized that this is before the Mario Kart Arcade GP games. The first one debuted in arcades in 2005, and this game claims to be from 2003.
Considering that this game was directed by Shigeru Miyamoto and that this is a joint project between Nintendo and Namco, it only made sense for Mario to be the announcer for this game.

This was a GameCube exclusive, so my headcanon is that that's Mario, no doubt.
They also remastered this in Namco Museum on Switch
@@nicholasmcdede8893 TBH, it's good that it got a modern rerelease, but for the concept, it would have made a lot more sense for the Wii U. One player could use the gamepad as pacman, and the other three could use the TV as the ghosts. Or even a 3ds eShop release would have been cool.
That's most definitely Mario. It's Charles Martinet doing his Mario voice, so how could it not be Mario?
How would that have worked? THe gamepad didn't have a screen. The whole point of 2 screens is that the ghosts had to hunt for PacMan. @@Virus_of_positivity

Played this all the time with friends, as a kid. Not as deep a game as the Mario Bros. GBA port, but the fun factor was sometimes on par.

This game was created because Miyamoto is a fan of the Pac-Man series, even though he created Nintendo series such as Mario and Donkey Kong. Also, Nintendo didn't published, but distributed the game, and voice is similar to Mario's.
That's because the announcer voice IS Mario's. Charles Martinet provided the announcer voice for Pac-Man Vs.

I had a copy of this game cause it came with a 2 disc bundle with Pac-Man World 2, but I never got to play it cause I didn’t have a GameBoy Advance cable
I remember playing a different version of this on Roblox
we never had the right adapter or whatever for this and then i forgot about it, so now i’m just in awe that there’s more than the yellow screen 😂

Seeing dis played through, it kinda makes me think they should make an updated (or rather an upgraded) version of da Wii U dat can use Nintendo Switches (all versions) as screen controllers! Games like dis would an' should b remade, first off! Second off, games like "Madden" and other [American football titles] could b done an' ppl could pick their plays on screen whilst guessing what da other player's gonna do! But I'm kinda just spouting shit irrelevant 2 da actual game I'm watching...
