The coaches usually are the 2nd/3rd eyes of the courts or just a motivator. For example, i train with my coach, hence i have a style that i want to play, whenever i win a point or make a mistake, my coach will acknowledge or just tell me to focus and move on or we will have a mini discussion on the plays and stuff.
no matter how good a player is, u will need someone to analyze things from the outside, different perspectives and view things outside the box. Same goes to any professional game not only in badminton

It's easier to find mistakes when you're watching compared to playing that's why we have coaches in sports to analyze the mistakes we make
