Even with me just riding around in the back, I end up battling and passing people. Also the more laps you race the more xp you'll gain. iPacing gives you a ton of restart practice. I just started a few weeks ago and I'm in C now. I'm hoping that if I can get to B or A, there will be less reckless clowns ruining peoples race and we can actually just race.
Great video for new iRacing drivers. I love iRacing, it is a lot of fun and I would recommend it for any true Nascar fan, 100% better than any console game. I hope you get a better ride in the real racing world.

What annoying for me when I drive a race my iracing is low because I also get taken out for no reason
The safety rating takes the fun out of sim racing. It’s very difficult to move up through the ranks…if not impossible.
I disagree. It helps keep the racing clean and encourages drivers to run cleaner, better racers. If it is 'impossible' for you to get promoted, then you likely need to do a better job at running clean races and staying out of trouble to avoid incidents.
