A very well informed review, we have just booked this resort prior to viewing your vlog, it looks like it has exceeded our expectations and has us very excited and can`t wait to travel here with our grand kids. Thank you😁
Loved the tour, thank you so much for the in depth info. Booked to go here last week of August for me and my 2 teenage kids. Couldn't decide wether to go for a swim up room or not. Can't be arsed with the sunbed wars around the main pool 🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad you found the video useful! 😉 I hear you about the swim up room! The main pool is super large, so you should be able to get a sunbed. Plus, there are other pool areas that aren't as popular but still have a bar for food and drink next to them. Plus a lot of the guests go to the water park or beach during the day. Tbh, I found that the sunbeds at the beach go pretty quick. But the convenience of having a pool attached to your room is nice, especially in that heat! I was sweating in that heat, trying to film that video! 🥵 They are definitely worth it in that regards. The swim up rooms look at the back of the resort, so it should be pretty quiet and private and will have similar views to what I had from my balcony.
Hello 😊, many thanks for the review....really helpful, I think you mentioned that staying for a week makes the price better but u couldn't find that when I called the hotel....can you clarify more how tochet this offer please? Thanks
Great informative video! Was planning to go to Egypt in December for a solo trip and this hotel was one of my options. Was wondering what your overall experience was like being a solo traveller? Did the noise from the kids get overwhelming at all?
Glad the video was helpful! This hotel facilities and entertainment are really geared towards families. I stayed in September and I would say at least 90% of guests were families. I didn't find the hotel noisy at all. Most of the noise is localised to the main, large pool and the waterpark. Although I did use the waterpark, I stayed away from the main pool. I used to chill out at the adult-only area and by the beach. The adult-only area was hardly used when I was there, so was always peaceful. My garden view room was also pretty quiet too. Depending on what time you went for dinner, it could also be a little noisy too. There are about 10 hotels in the Makadi complex, and although I enjoyed my stay at the Jaz Aquaviva and I would stay there again, if I had a choice I would choose the Steigenberger Makadai (Adults only) or one of the other hotels closer to the beach. Another viewer in the comments recommended these hotel in Hurghada in the following order: 1. Sunrise Royal Makadi 2. Sunrise Mamlouk Palace 3. Serenity Fun City 4. Sinbad club (best location wise) 5. Jazz Aquaviva.
Hiya! I'm not sure. There is a daycare centre which I showed in the video. I did see various activities throughout the day for children of varying ages, but I didn't pay too much attention as I didn't travel with children. It might be worth emailing the hotel to check. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help.
You know when u mentioned that u stayed in the adult rooftop area and just ate there and ordered pizza etc did you have to pay for the food at the restaurant or was that also included in the all inclusive ?
Hello your video was so informative really enjoyed it from start to finish , looking for a nice luxury hotel that i can go with friends and family for my 50 tieth in October any suggestions
Hi! Yes they do! You are given 2 sets of towels in the room, which they change every day when the room is made. 1set for the bathroom and the other set for the pool/ beach. Even though it was just me in the room and had 2 towels in each set. They even have a bag you can carry the pool/beach towels in.
Hi! Thank you so much for your comprehensive reviews! We are planning to travel with our 3 years old boy and we are a family of vegans so we need some sort of variety! Could you kindly advise what would be the best to choose between Aquaviva or Tropitel? Is tropitel nice for food? Many thanks in advance for your time Aa and also another question: is the food or drinks included on the aquaviva beach or you would have to pay? 🙏🙏🙏 thank you very much ❤
Sorry for the delayed response. I personally found the food better at the Aquaviva. But that's just my humble opinion, and I ate mainly the Egyptian/ Oriental food. Also However, another viewer came back and said that they didn't like the food. I can't fully remember, but I feel like the Aquaviva had more plant based options. I didn't really enjoy the food at the Tropitel, it felt mass produced to me and lacked any flavour. I booked all-inclusive at both hotels so food and drink (including alcholic drinks) were included. However, the Aquaviva had a mini bar in the room that you had to pay for. ☹️ The beach (reachable bu shuttle bus) is nicer at the Aquaviva.
So when I stayed at this hotel all-inclusive, it included access to the waterpark and food and drink at the many eateries around the hotel. The waterpark is inside the hotel grounds and yes, it belongs to the hotel. The hotel grounds are really big, but they do have a snack bar/small restaurant to the side of the waterpark.
Ummm.... I didn't really stick around for the evening entertainment tbh.😅 From what I recall, the evening entertainment was geared towards families and kids.
I went in September, so it was around 35°C when I went. Egypt is pretty dry and sunny throughout the year. I think the temperature will be in the low 20s (in Celsius) in January.
@John Tucker No problem! If you haven't already, it would be much appreciated if you subscribe (although there is no pressure). Also, if you do go in January let me know if you have a good trip. 😉
The beach is in the same complex and shared between 10 hotels. Some hotels are literally on the beach, but Aquaviva is about 1km away. There is a free shuttle that takes you to and from the beach.
I'm glad you liked the video! 😊 I think the massage was 60 USD. They also let me use the sauna, steam & jacuzzi before the massage for an extra 10 USD (instead of 20 USD), as it was combined with a massage.
I can't confirm if the food is Halal, but I assume it is. It's probably best to check that with the hotel directly. 🙂 If on all inclusive you pay for the mini bar in your room and room service and special drinks at the beach (but if you go to the beach bar/cafe you don't pay). Everything else is included.
Thank you for making tbis video! I don't have children but im coming hwre in a few days and i love that you've made me feel familiar with the place before ive even arrived there 🩷
It was only one per week. I did have a look at the prices, but I didn't record the prices. But if I remember correctly, it wasn't expensive. The menu isn't big at the Italian or Oriental restaurant, but you could try eating at the other a la carte restaurants in the other hotels in Madinat Makadi. I heard the food at the Steigenberger is really good!
Nice! When are you going in 2026? What did you hear about the airport? I had to wait a little bit for my bags, but other than that I had no trouble at the airport. I had my taxi already booked to take me straight to the hotel after landing so I had no other issues.
Hi, I'm thinking of between Serenity Fun City and this.. anyone else been to them? If so, which one would you recommend? I've been to Sunrise Royal Makadi, Sinbad Club and Hawaii Les Jardins in the past but not been to Serenity or Jaz Aquaviva before. P.s are the A La Carte's free at the hotel cause it was free when we went to the Sunrise Hotel.
I had a similar dilemma as I was also thinking about Serentity Fun City, but I opted for Jaz Aquaviva in the end. There are 2 a la carte restaurants at Jaz Aquaviva and you get one free a la carte dinner per stay. You can order from the Italian a la carte lunch menu as much as you like, without paying extra if all inclusive.I think the 2 resorts could be fairly similar, but Jaz Aquaviva is bigger and I think Serenity is closer if not on the beach. Hopefully, someone who has stayed at Serentity sees your comment 😊
@@ETTakesOff Thanks, your reply has been very helpful. Youu know the Mini Fridge in the room, I heard they charge if ytou take out of that? That makes little sense, it defeats the purpose of the meaning of 'all inclusive'. I've been on many holidays (7 times to Turkey and 4 times to Egypt) and I've never come across a hotel thag charges for stuff in the mini fridge. P.s I booked Jaz Aquaviva
Yes, they charge for the items in the minifridge. And I completely agree with you, it defeats the point of being all inclusive! I hope the hotel reconsiders charging guests for the mini-fridge. Also, I hope you enjoy your time at Aquaviva! 😊
@@ETTakesOff How would they charge though if they do not have my credit or debit card details? I certainly wouldn't pay them in cash. On the first day I'll tell them to take the stuff out of the minifridge as I'd prefer to stack up the mini fridge with all inclusive drinks instead... I'm already thinking of complaining to Tui to change hotels 🤣
***Update*** I just came back from there, it's not a bad resort but the food was so bad and repetitive. I stayed at this resort for 3 nights then got moved to Serenity for 4 night, I preferred Serenity Fun City over this resort.
I've been twice to Egypt. The first time I travelled around a lot with my family and then this trip I went by myself. As a tourist in Egypt, I've never experienced any racism. Most people were friendly.
I was about to book this hotel until this review. As I would be taking my 4 year old daughter, I did not feel safe with the fact she would be sleeping right at the door of the room where people can have access to the room.
The resort is pretty safe, but definitely do what you need to feel safe. 😊Another viewer recommended the following hotels that might be worth looking at: Sunrise Royal Makadi, Sunrise Mamlouk Palace, Serentity Fun Palace, and Sinbad Club.
Thank you for watching. If you enjoyed this video or found it useful please subscribe and check out my video on the top things to see and do in Jordan ruclips.net/video/m8ANtUQp678/видео.html
