very helpful video. Planning on going 1st week of june. do you know what the weather is like there in june. can you swim or is it too hot for pool and beach
I'm glad you found the video helpful. I think it will be quite hot in June. I've been to Egypt in the months of August and again in September, temperatures were somewhere between 35C - 40C. I couldn't stay out in the sun too long during the day! I found late afternoon to be the best time for the beach and pool.
This video was so useful! (And girl you are glowing, yas we love to see it) We’re going to Hurghada in a few days so so happy I came across this 😊 can I just ask a question if you don’t mind? - did you find it easier tipping in British pounds or Egyptian pounds? And do you know if it’s easy to exchange foreign currency to Egyptian pounds while you’re there?x
Thank you! I'm glad you found the video useful! 😊 Tipping in Egyptian pounds is better. It can be difficult for the person to exchange the money, especially if you give coins. 😊 I'm not sure about foreign exchanges. Depending on where your hotel is, you might want to exchange your money at Hurghada airport on arrival. As my bank doesn't charge for international transactions, I withdrew money from the ATMs within the hotels. The Egyptian ATMs don't charge you. My bank gives a fair exchange rate as long as you withdraw or are charged in the local currency.
No, I didn't get hassled a lot. I found if I said no thank you, without stopping, I was pretty much left alone. I stayed in Jaz Aquaviva for a week and then the Tropitel Saahl Hasheesh for the following week.
Thanks for your video, much appreciated! I'm going with family in January... Just wanted to ask couple of questions if you wouldn't mind. We'd like to do activities such as desert quad bikes, boat excursions etc, but not with other people since we have 2 little ones and they can be a bit unpredictable, so want to have the flexibility of ending the trip and going back to the hotel when we want, would that be possible and do you think it would be better if I book it when im there in Hurghada? And is there any company you'd recommend other than get your guide? How was the food? Any places you'd recommend? Thank you
You can definitely book a private tour for you and your family. If you can't see any private tours on GetYourGuide, there is also Viator. I found this private quad bike tour on Viator. viator.tp.st/TFGaZfgR. I always recommend GetYourGuide or Viator as you can choose the most appropriate tour/ activity for you, plus you can check the reviews of other travellers, and if anything goes wrong you can always get your money back. It's easy enough to arrange tours/ activities once you get there. There are quite a few tour operators located around Hurghada. Google "Paradise Travel Red Sea" (they can be contacted via WhatsApp), they maybe able to arrange a private quad biking tour for you and your family. Most hotels will have a tour operator desk where you can book private and group activities, however, from what I've seen, booking it through the tour operators at hotels is often double the price. Things are really flexible in Egypt as I booked all my activities very last minute and sometimes on the same day! This was my second trip to Egypt and both times I found the food really enjoyable, especially the Oriental (Egyptian) food, although I can't recommend any specific places as I wasn't good at recording that information! I tend to go with the flow when it comes to eating out and often decide on where to eat based on the look of the place and what the other patrons have ordered. Sorry, I can't be of any help for food recommendations! I'm glad you found the video useful! :) If you haven't done so already, it would be much appreciated if you could subscribe. And I hope you and your family have a good trip in January! :)

Great Video! How do you use your VPN in Egypt? Can you do a video or Tic Toc about this?
Sorry, I didn't see your comment earlier. Yes, I can create a video on how to use a VPN. I will let you know when it's done.
@@ETTakesOff Not a problem! Looking forward to it!

Nice to see you again! 🙂 Yes, Egypt is quite magical!
What was the sim card that you got?
I bought an Etisalat sim card at the airport. But I think Orange is the main mobile network provider, which was also available.
