Note to self, Amplifier abuse, and New project idea

Playing with a pair of OPA541 amplifier modules to destruction, I wished I'd recorded what I was doing. Plus some thoughts on another way to do what I was attempting.

Lots of inrush with a tungsten lamp, very low cold resistance. Probably just went out of the SOA faster than the protections could help it?

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that. Really wish I had a video of meter readings and scope waveforms!
Anyway, it seems my expectations were a bit too optimistic. So now I'm trying to come up with something a lot tougher.
