- We continue our series of visits to French and Indian War historical sites in Bedford, PA with a visit to the Fort Bedford Museum, in many ways a throw-back to the mid-Twentieth Century roadside museums but also with recently updated exhibits using the latest museum technologies and exhibit designs. The actual Fort Bedford, which has been located by recent archaeology a couple blocks to the East, was the jumping off point to cross the Allegheny Mountains for an Anglo-American army under General John Forbes to capture Fort Duquesne (present-day Pittsburgh) in 1758 during the French and Indian War.
Looks like a great 👍 museum to visit 😎
It’s well worth stopping in!
What was the cost (roughly) for you two adults.?
