Amen Andy! I've been using Liquid Fence for several years now and I swear by it. You are right. It will work if you use it. When harvest time comes. I stop spraying it on the plants but spray it around the perimeter.
I plan to plant a tree at a cemetery, they got deers there, but I wont be able to vist it regularly maybe once a month or in 2months. You recommend this product for that cause?
Thank you so much! Do you know whether the nasty taste of liquid fence, or of granules of Repels All, applied directly onto cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, basil & carrots can actually absorb into them? If a real good washing will eliminate that taste, then how do you do that? I’d like to saturate plants, fruits & edible leaves with liquid fence, & I’ve applied Repels All granules right up to stems, but not (or tried not) to hit plants with that. Another tricky thing- either I’m not shaking repels all well enough or my sprayers aren’t good - I got white splotches of residue that damaged leaves on the first try. Then a residue that looks like powdery mildew with what I hoped was a nicer little sprayer & a more diluted solution. Advice? Maybe have the paint shakers at Home Depot see if they can blend it better for me?
I have never tried the granular stuff so I can’t comment on that but if it wasn’t for the liquid I couldn’t have a garden here the deer would destroy it. I have noticed the white residue before but never have I saw any damage to the plants from it. And no I don’t think the plants absorb it. I’ve had green beans hanging full and sprayed them then go back a few days later and pick them and I’ve never noticed any smell or taste of corse they’re washed before we eat them though
Liquid fence works but it’s expensive for what it is. I think I paid 9$/quart form a garden store. You should try making your on. It’s just eggs, soap, and garlic. Maybe the other thing you could do is soak rags and put them in plastic bottles with holes and place them around the garden. It might last longer since the rain won’t wash it away.
Today marks the second time the deer raided our garden, the first time they got the entire strawberry garden (100+ strawberries). The second time they got our beans, pepper plants and tried the corn lmao. We had a little bit of that deer repellent stuff so I just went around the entire garden with it, if anybody wants a second opinion feel free to ask and I'll let you know if they attack the garden here in a few weeks again lmao
@@Daniel-sd9fo literally the day after I put it out the deer went into my fenced area and ate all the beans, some tomatoes and tested out my watermelons lmfao. I made a post online asking for suggestions and everyone was suggesting what I used AKA liquid fenced, I guess it's just a hit and miss. That deer stepped right over the open container of the liquid fence just to walk into the garden
thanks buddy, i’ve been wondering about the liquid fence
It works great for me long as I stay on top of spraying it after a rain

Success so far here with liquid fence directly applied to plants, coupled with repels all granules applied around the base of each one….
I don’t have time 😈 I may have to try some on my two smaller gardens.
Make time haha.. it does work good but lately with the amount of rain we’ve got I have to apply it quite a bit however absolutely no deer damage yet
Lawson Lawn And Farm we’ve been getting a couple showers a day here as well.
