Love it! I so remember this from my childhood in Jos. I sang it to my mum for years until she passed.

A Prince Nico Barga OLD song🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 He sung sweet mother, simplicity, Christiana, akie, welenga, happybirthday, wayo, goodfather... a lot of songs that Tilda sings. Prince Nico Barga sons (Fondation) continue to sing like their father also.

Cool. "Sweet Mother" is not Nigerian though. Prince Nico Mbarga was also Cameroonian, half Cameroonian. Half of his band was Cameroonian too. The signature guitar lick of Sweet Mother for example was played by Vincent Nguini, another Cameroonian. Sweet Mother is a Camogerian song

Prince Nico Mbarga;s "Sweet mother" is very much a signature of Nigerian highlife music. He had a Nigerian mother and Cameroonian father. He was Nigerian. He made his life in Nigeria, not Cameroon. Sorry. But you are wrong.
