The economy isn't ending, it's just moving in different directions. Maybe it will start going back up once people figure out that they can go online and pretty much buy the same things they used to buy before and not just buy essential items. As far as paying bills and rent goes there will need to be a sharp adjustment.
They need to access rental rates in these buildings. Charging upwards around 2000.00-2700.00 for 600square foot condo in the sky. It’s all artificial intelligence. All a rip off. Should only be paying 600-700 a month. Where I’m from there are high rates of mental health issues psychosis, depression. People need to be more in touch with nature. Older buildings with old pipes, poisoned water taps need to be assessed as well. Charge no more than 300-400 for a space. People pay their own utilities. Rental and mortgage markets are a scam. Overtime it’s a waste of money if your not raising a family.
True about everything. I'd have everything be even more inexpensive, though. Landlords that have utilities paid inside the rent should charge no more than $600 for the whole package and for every year the building is older than 1950 the package should be adjusted for older pipes and other things that need replacing. Smaller spaces like studio and other efficiency apartments should be around $100 dollars tops. That way rooms won't cost so much that people can't pay their own utilities. In the winter heat costs about half of what rent does. Electricity is negotiable but people need to have heat.
Arib Anwar most folks won’t hv money to buy the essentials. And as far as online purchases, you need a credit card and most folks will hv no more ability to charge a purchase. Cash is the only way. Bezos will set up brick and mortar with bots running the floor and the public using keosks to pay for the items. No need for human interaction. All will be safe. Robotics are the wave of the future. Food will be cooked, baked, fried, seasoned, packaged, and or frozen by bots. There will be bots that deliver the food to your door. Large warehouses will install huge ovens, fryers, freezers, to make all this food but run my machines and bots. Very few people will be needed to run a warehouse. Maybe a dozen if that. No need for cashiers, waitresses, dishwashers, cooks, managers, bakers, hosts, or for that matter humans working out in the field picking our fruits and veggies. Robots can do all of that. They said that a machine could never pick cotton. Not true. The need for social distancing will bring about a revolution in using robots for menial tasks and tasks that are repetitive. Also receptionist jobs. Gone! Tourism will diminish greatly, folks realizing how other countries will be very poor, dirty, run down and dangerous, will stay home for a number of years. The airline industry will be used for cargo only. Beaches and summer camps, gone. Beach communities will become overtaxed bc of lack of Summer incomes and many will leave for cheaper living in rural areas. Robots will take over the education system and kids will adapt to off site learning. Those that don’t, loose ground. Banks will diminish, they will eventually, due to none payments from mortgages, will call in loans from large entities, once those folks can’t pay banks will close many many branches. Most folks will loose their homes and many will leave for rural areas to live in rentals. No more need for tellers, loan officers, managers. Many bank buildings will be abandoned and online banking and Apple pay ( for those who hv money) will be the new norm. Most transactions will be done online. The USPS, can finally throw the keys away and shut the lights off. Robots can process mail very easily and cleaner and they can work 24/7. Advertising will diminish greatly, people will only be buying what they need and can afford bc the purchasing power of the average American will be equivalent to 1928. Amazon will step away from the USPS and build their own fleet and only employ truckers to deliver. Robots can handle all other warehouse tasks. Many other jobs will diminish and go away primarily due to robots doing a lot of the work that humans are doing. The use of robots lowers costs of labor/pensions,/ retirement tools, time off, pregnancy, sickness, health benefits and the problem with absenteeism, are just a few of the areas where robots will bring a revolution to our world. For better or worse.
Not really . In a lockdown , people lose jobs and sources of income , therefore even essentials cannot be afforded by most people . It creates a poverty loop which keep fueling the recession and leads to more and more unemployment, poverty , bankruptcies etc . It destroys the world and at the end people die due to hunger and suicide . Basically the people with out jobs will not buy more , leasing to lesser production and less demand leading to more job losses leading to further less demand and further poverty . The cycle feeds on itself . Therefore supply demand equilibrium gets shifted to much lower levels than normal . This cycle needs to be broken or else things keep getting from bad to worse .
Well emerging countries are actually getting worst hit . Just because US is testing more does not mean it is in the worst position . US is relatively very strong compared to most of the other nations , especially the poor ones . The destruction of economies such as India is catastrophic. It's being battered to the ground . India cannot handle much more lockdowns. The entire financial system in India is collapsing . US gave 1200$ to every person . What did India give ? US $ is now at 77 rupees and rupee keeps falling . See , dollar is very strong . America is relatively very strong . 60,000 die from flu every year in US .That is every single year . Compared to that , only 50,000 have died till now of corona in US . So understanding that US has 330 million people . Number are still very small . India has 700 plus deaths but it will rise to overtake US and it could get 4x that of US since the population is very high in India .And the virus is not stopping . It's rising and will keep rising . But actual death rate seems way lower than was reported . Only about .5 % or one in 200 or one in 300 . That's how mild this virus is . More than 99.5 % - 99.9% will live and survive the virus . This is not the Spanish flu , this is not the plague . It's a super spreading mild virus .
@@falgunitomar2600 it's not actually as mild as you put it. The only reason these small businesses are in a bad way is because they made no plan or preparations for storms, a simple plan and reserve finances would make it easy, my business is small, employ three people including myself, I own the building my business is located in and I have cash reserves enough to keep pay going to my furloughed employees and myself, I have temporarily shut the power down to my building so I dont have a bill coming for that, taxes for it are low and I have 2 years of property tax sat aside, it's just more preparations I made in case something happened, if other businesses weren't " fly by night" just out to make money with no long term plans then they would be fine also. Old saying that's crude but true excuse are like butt holes, everyone has one and they all stink.

As a nation under God I can put hope in a truth beyond anything; we are living things. At the end of the end of the day I will survive the collapse of the economy. The fact that remains is I live in an ecosystem that provides for me.
Future generations will remember this year as THE GREAT GLOBAL LOCKDOWN. We are living in history, one of the most documented global crisis in modern times, where majority if not all humans alive will at least experience the effect of this global collapse. This is an epoch-making event that will further influence the decades, even centuries, of human civilization from this point onwards.
People are being told that the infection death rate is below 2% or less than 1 in 50. That's completely wrong because no one has provided adequate sampling and testing of the infection spread. The actual death rate exceeds 6% or more than 1 in 20 will die. Many will die of breathing problems but many more will not be counted when they die of other symptoms such as strokes, heart attacks, delirium, and vital organs deteriorating besides the lungs. You need to count all the dead and test the bodies. The initial spread of the virus didn't begin in December of 2019, it began in November or October or even at an earlier date. Since China doesn't want anyone researching the cause of the infection by restricting investigations, it becomes harder to lock down factual information. The Chinese from one region to another don't know or aren't given proper data and that's why they follow their own priorities from one locale to another.
Why are rconomists obsessed with interest free or low interest loans? It’s not the interest that’s going to kill you, it’s the principal! It’s going to amount to an extra tax.
in India, there is too much effect for poor people or who r working in daily wages, and the government isn't helping through any fund. so social activists r just working on it at ground level and caring as they can of providing foods of needed people. but it's the worst situation bcz there is no kit available in hospitals. completely helpless of people from the medical and healthcare sectors through our government. we hope is everything is good as soon as.
This could have been controlled easily if the governments had put more resources and planning in advance. If they did not treat public health as an afterthought. Having millions of test produced quickly as well as masks, thermometers, gloves, education, etc. would have allowed the authorities to isolated the initial cases and "nip it in the bud". But with demagogues at the helm (USA and UK) we have the disastrous results of the pandemic. And they are still not doing much. Granted, the world relinquished the production of basic health products (Ventilators, masks, gloves) to China, and now we are paying the consequences....
maybe its time to lift the lockdown and let people get back to work. the consequences of the prevention (lockdown) may end up being worse than the disease (COVID 19).
In Gross Domestic Product, the letter "C" is tricky, for eg 100 shirts each cost ten rupees produced, A purchased 30,B purchased 25,C purchased 20 ,D purchased 15, E purchased 5,F purchased 3, G purchased 2, the total consumption 100 shirts, The " C" contribution in GDP 1000 in monetary terms .But the individual purchasing power varied. Regarding Services all the people are not getting equal opportunities, mere increasing number in the value of finished products and services is not the suitable measure to decide country's progress, so whether the Country is Active Or Inactive, In economic operations we can decide with the GDP calculations, but whether the country developed, progressed, managing human resources in an optimum manner we have to follow the below principle ,. We can assess the progress and health of the country with this formula - the total no of illiterates + the total no of unemployed + the total no of deaths except natural (infant deaths, accidents, diseases, deaths due to unavailability of medicines and medical facilities, suicides,) + crime rate +no of children born with disabilities +no begging for their livelihood+no of people receiving subsidies from the govt beyond the certain limit (the limit to be decided) if the total is Higher The country is under developed in terms of human resources development, vice-versa.this is the theorem of Human resource management and the suitable measure to assess the country's progress.

We are living in history, one of the most documented global crisis in modern times, where majority if not all humans alive will at least experience the effect of this global collapse. This is an epoch-making event that will further influence the decades, even centuries, of human civilization from this point onwards.
praise the m0therf0cking swordfish, heretics is this sarcasm
Speak for yourself stocks are approaching where they were before the sell off
People are being told that the infection death rate is below 2% or less than 1 in 50.
Why is she so excited about taking on Great Depression ?
Love the way she talks

in India, there is too much effect for poor people or who r working in daily wages, and the government isn't helping through any fund. so social activists r just working on it at ground level and caring as they can of providing foods of needed people. but it's the worst situation bcz there is no kit available in hospitals. completely helpless of people from the medical and healthcare sectors through our government. we hope is everything is good as soon as.
Chinavirus brought me as well as the economy here.
In a developing country like India no concrete measure to help the small business and industries have yet been taken by the government.
She speaks so slowly.
Please take care of audio in the next video... Looking forward to many more😊😊
some industries are really booming though. some people who are unemployment couldn't pay rent and maybe the housing are going to crash
Why the anchor is trying to be so happy about this? Is this a beauty contest?
She finally got the chance to be on TV
How come the IMF can provide takeaways but my local one is closed?
I wonder what Gita is doing to look so stunning at her age of 50+
Sleazy guy spotted😃😃😄
This could have been controlled easily if the governments had put more resources and planning in advance. If they did not treat public health as an afterthought. Having millions of test produced quickly as well as masks, thermometers, gloves, education, etc. would have allowed the authorities to isolated the initial cases and "nip it in the bud". But with demagogues at the helm (USA and UK) we have the disastrous results of the pandemic. And they are still not doing much. Granted, the world relinquished the production of basic health products (Ventilators, masks, gloves) to China, and now we are paying the consequences....
It's not a recession it is a DEPRESSION !!!
World needs Good Heart Leaders not just Powerful.
maybe its time to lift the lockdown and let people get back to work. the consequences of the prevention (lockdown) may end up being worse than the disease (COVID 19).
Great video 👍👌,. To inform startup like us to inform about recession.. time
Whoever suggested to adjust the speed to 1.25x... you’re Awesome!
We can assess the progress and health of the country with this formula - the total no of illiterates + the total no of unemployed + the total no of deaths except natural (infant deaths, accidents, diseases, deaths due to unavailability of medicines and medical facilities, suicides,) + crime rate +no of children born with disabilities +no begging for their livelihood+no of people receiving subsidies from the govt beyond the certain limit (the limit to be decided)
if the total is Higher The country is under developed in terms of human resources development, vice-versa.this is the theorem of Human resource management and the suitable measure to assess the country's progress.
The 48 year old economic adviser looks way more cuter and much more interesting to listen to, than the anchor.
If this economy comes back in 4 years I would be amazed. But I doubt peace will wait.
Watching from guulu , Uganda

She's delivering the medicine so its palatable. Why should she be so grim? It's not the end of the world.
Why is she looking so happy telling us this grim info?
The massive stimulus packages on monetary and fiscal policy will be the test of the MMT economic theory. Hope the theory holds in reality or we see screwed..

Can everyone agree to call this year a wash?
I live in California, most of us in the bay area stay inside, we have been for 4+ weeks.
The number of cases in northern California is low and the rate of increase is manageable.
My best to you all,
Stay safe
THE NEWS REPORTER IS DRUNK.
Is the host from Poland or what..?
We are facing a very well planned depression. Call things by its name.
Market went up 700 on Friday...what recession ?
May be the reporter should wear a mask🤔🤔
The facts are real and shocking, but it does sound / look like the reporter is NOT respecting the current outbreak enough. It is not just numbers coming out from your mouth, shame.
Well new problems may create new opportunities . We here in India might be able to benefit off the oil prices and become more competitive . I for sure am open for any opportunities that i get out of it . Please reply if you can be that opportunity .
In India many small business will shut down permanently
Wow this Reporter is not fun to listen to.
