A large part of the reason why people don't tell you whether or not a song is comedy is because you do really excellent reactions, regardless of the song being a comedy or not. Both in regards to your physical and in regards to your explanations. You do an excellent job actually explaining why a line is so good which gives someone who may already like the song even more appreciation of it. And well (this may just be a me thing but), you enjoy the song so people can enjoy both the song itself and your enjoyment of the song as well (even if it isn't a comedy song). Which I think is a round-about way of saying, wonderful reaction (even if it wasn't a comedy song 🙂).
This song was intriguing when I first listened to it, and was what got me to play CONTROL for the first time -- and the song becomes all the more fascinating once you've played the game; for instance, the monotonous speeches are drawn directly from the alien influence attacking the facility, and a lot of the style of showing Stupendium in shadows overlaid on themself is drawn directly from your talks with the shadow of the former Director. It also has a lot of hidden meanings -- 'Until Ordinary's torn up, and normal defects', references the town of Ordinary, Maine, and the slide projector found there, an OOP capable of connecting to other dimensions -- if you just put a 'slide into the void'.
The "trenches fallen to forces unknown" has a double meaning : the old director's name was Trench. The game OST is great, and while browsing it on youtube, I stumbled upon Stupendium for the first time ; so I can thank the game for that too.
Yeah, this is the song that really convinced me Stupendium wasn't just a one-trick pony. The man has real talent in everything he does. The writing, the delivery, the costumes, the lighting, the sets. the effects, the whole works. And he ties things in beautifully. The effects during the third verse match precisely to a specific segment of the game that I cannot bring myself to spoil because it's by far the best subversion of expectations ever put into a game and just totally awesome. Those of you who have played the game probably already know exactly what I am talking about.
While stupes was "hanged" (or just floating whatever you want to call it) every line is taken from what Dylan has said under The Hisses influence whilst he was floating in the middle of i believe the board room? Hence the selection of words (this is mostly a comment on the "I am almost concerned" by Ian at 19:47)
Jesse Faden is the main character, she traveled to the Oldest House to find her brother Dylan Faden who was taken by the FBC (Federal Bureau of Control) after an AWE that Jesse and Dylan were involved in involving the Projector OOP

YES! I'm so excited to watch this video, I've literally dropped everything - the other video I was watching, my crochet. All stopped because I love this song and the game it's about so much! Will edit after I've watched the video ^^ *EDIT:* MC's name is Jesse btw, not Eren/Eran/Aren/Aran (idk what pronunciation goes with what name so I'll throw them all in) There are so many references to the game in this song and I've seen a comment about the reference to Ordinary and the Projector OoP already, so I won't say that one again. The references to the Darling videos are all together at 17:26 here and it'll take you a few watches of that bit to see them I think, but the "For Demonstration Purposes Only" sign on the phone is a reference to one of the Darling videos when he's explaining what OoPs are - I also love how Stupes has so clearly captured Darling's "state" as you progress through the game and find more videos from him. The cinematography in the video flashes through a few places in the game as well and only on 5th/6th/umpteenth watch did I manage to get a good look at each one and recognise where they were - not necessarily where they were in the game, but roughly the circumstances that lead up to being in those places and the _vibes_ that come off of seeing these rooms with those lyrics are just mm- ✨ _a masterpiece_ ✨ AGAIN, THE WORDPLAY! THE LYRICS! They're so good, it fits incredibly well with the thematic feel of the song. Also, the Panopticon is an important place in the game ;) The lyrics have a subtle way of telling us why when you don't know the game and so once you get there you understand. This is a great song to come back to after you've completed the game. Ticking of the clocks! Another game reference that I'm not going to explain for two reasons: 1) I'd be here all day if I went through everything, and 2) it would ruin the game if I did :) Ah yes, the "chant" section of the song. Also important....and that's all I'll say about that :) Cami Cat coming in for the chorus/hook is beautifully haunting after that and the music being glitchy is fantastic. The Board talking to us at the end? Hoo boy, reference number X at this point. It's certainly my favourite. Ok! Long comment over! The last thing I have to say is that your commentary was once again great to listen to, especially with you catching the fantastic wordplay of the lyrics and getting excited about it. Slide Into The Void is one of my favourite songs by The Stupendium and I keep coming back to it to listen to and fall back into the world of Control.
My two favorite references in the lyrics are "...on benign, undefined archetypal objects / Until Ordinary's torn up and normal defects" and one that may or may not be intentional (but I really hope it is): "When trenches (Trenches) have fallen to forces unknown"
Love this song, shout out to Cami-cat, she does female vocals in this and his cyberpunk 2077 song and has a good amount of her own originals in addition to doing covers
"The projector" is a Item of Power and has nothing to do with what you are talking about. It's one of the main items in the game and when you load a specific slides into it - it opens pathways to other dimensions. It's how the enemy came through.
One of the objects is called The Projector, wich uses slides to access actual dimensions, which is actually the main point of the hook, but i did not notice that it refernced the otjer projectors as well. Now that i know that, i have way more appreciation for the hook. Stupes is just amazing.
Writing this only a couple minutes in, before the reaction itself. This song definitely isn't a comedy song but It's one of my favorites of Stupendium's by far. It's the sole reason I bought Control, and it's now my favorite game. And having listened before hand, I listened to it after - so SO many references and double meanings in regards to the game. So, while I know you really only do comedy, I'm thrilled you reacted to this. Now I'm actually going to go watch haha
Its just a perfect anthem for the game. Played it just so I can understand the references to it since its just jam-packed with it. Even the lyrics are from the Hiss poem. This song feels a lot more like a parable, biblically good. Cami's chorus is also really good paired with an absolutely phenomenal video work that I have it as a background lol
As a father, I often listen to stupendium songs and think "I should go through this song and make up a vocabulary test for my kids." I can't use this song on a test until they are getting ready for collage, there is too many obscure words.
So the two characters that Stupes plays in this song are Former Director Trench, and Dr. Darling. They are CENTRAL to the story of how The Oldest House became infested with The Hiss, and why some people are safe from it. Edit: also, where did you get Erin from? Her name is Jessie Faden! Her brother is Dylan Faden. And... well you'll find out more in some really unsettling cutscenes near the end of the base game.
I also have to agree with many of the other commenters, you need to get to at least the Ashtray Maze section. It's near the end of the base game, but it features a major reference to Alan Wake in the form of "The Old Gods of Asgard", a prophetic band that played a major role in how Alan figured out what was going on.
I know it's been 4 months, but it's important to know that the beginning line, that repeats here 14:01 - 14:21, is actually from the game. If you listen real close, this is the phrase that "the Hiss" keep murmuring, and it's really cool that they used it as a pre-chorus here. Edit: this part here (19:38 - 20:03) is also part of it :D!
Man, this is such a good song. A real classic. It even inspired me to buy Control, which was an excellent decision. I highly recommend you finish the game. I do wish Stupes would make more "serious" songs. They make great comedy music, but I think their serious stuff is actually where they shine the most. This song, their two Frostpunk songs, and The House Always Wins are some of their best works IMO. P.S. is The West Was One not a comedy song? I felt it had some comedic elements to it, even if the subject matter wasn't comedy (similar to The Fine Print and A Matter of Factories)
A lot of the "comedy" in this song relies heavily on double meanings. I feel like you may have missed a lot of jokes by not being fresh on the game. "When Trenches Have Fallen" for example. Director Trench is the name of the Director before Jessie. Just stuff like that.
I absolutely love this song after having played through Control, there are so many tiny nods to the game that are unnoticeable unless you paid a lot of attention during the game! example: The line "Trenches have fallen to forces unknown", the name of the Director before the protagonist is Zacharia *Trench* and more stuff like that! this song excells at having the same feel as Control itself, filled to the brim with tiny missable details
@Insane Ian tags in video description are #Stupendium #TwoPointCampus #BritishSummer. Also Cami-Cat was featured in song so maybe tag them too. Also glad to see the reaction even if it wasn't comedy.
No, you missed the paperwork being worshipped joke. "Where the paperwork is worshiped, and rituals are written" its funny because no one wants to touch these things, they'd much rather do all the paperwork.
Quantum Break, not, Quantum Theory. Quantum Theory was a launch title, like you mentioned, and was, I think, a first-person sci fi puzzle game. Quantum Break was a third-person action game where you get weird time manipulation powers, that had a tie in, choose-your-own-adventure-style TV show that's meant to play out in parallel with the game. Easy mistake to make. The main character of control is Jessie, though, a kind of... hard mistake to make?
@@Insaneian All good! It came out all the way back in 2019, and I probably would have forgotten the protagonist's name myself if I hadn't become massive obsessed with this game for a solid chunk of time.
Honestly, for all your comments about blabbering, I love this channel in part because you actually discuss the stuff you're reacting to, pointing out and explaining really interesting things! I don't really see any point in reactions that go like "hey guys! today we'll be reacting to this! *plays whole video without pausing* well that was fun! bye guys!" lol. And to the comments about a 20 min reaction to a 6 min song - I actually love the longer videos, when I check the timeline and there's still a lot left, I get really excited :) All this to say, blabber all you want, the more the better honestly, we're all here for exactly this!
I know this isn't your usual fare Ian but i actually really like your takes regardless of whether it's a comedy song or not. Plus Stupes has so many fire songs that don't fall into a strictly comedy genre that i'd love to see your reaction to. Loved the video.
OH MY GOODNESS YES YOU FINALLY REACTED TO THIS ONE thank you this is one of his best Also just so you know the two point campus hashtags are still on the video
Honestly every time I hear a Stupendium song, I'm like This ones my favourite, I mean well... No definitely this one, but what about? I dont know that one was good too though, hmmmmm. Slide Into The Void may not be comedy, but it was a treat seeing you react to it, as it was the first Stupendium song that personally got me hooked on Stupendiums music. Great reaction as always!
To be fair, I guess reacting to a song that isn't comedy seems to challenge your breakdown skills nicely. I mean, comparing to older non-comedic songs you've reacted to. Some great progress is noticeable even if it's still not your area of expertise. ^^ Either way, it was quite nice, and I never realised until now the meaning of "load another slide into the void". x) ^^
I gotta say, I didn't think you'd be interested in this one. It's all, like, spooky-ooks and such. Which is right up MY alley, but I'm painfully aware it isn't everyone else's... This is one of my faves from them. ^///^; Right away, that beautiful pre-chorus chant out of the warped vocal rises... Captures the nature of the game right from square one. X3 Their depictions of both The Director and Dr. Darling are so, so, so on-point. Especially the doctor's parts. That kind of performance is insane to try and get, WITHOUT the rapping. And the flow itself... 'Parasite and paradise, in parallel, in paradox"... Masterful, masterful stuff~
I mean, I like all kinds of music, I just try to focus on comedy music here, as that's my area of expertise. But I love video games, even the spooky-ook ones. 😅
I highly reccomend "The Aftermath", it's one of my favourite songs and has a ton of clever lines. Plus the visuals are terrible, which is great for the source material.
Quantum Break is the game you were thinking of that is connected to Alan Wake and Control. You were close. Great game and I love it. Super fun and time travel.
Also I never really picked up on how freaking awesome that camera pan was from the one hallway to the dozens of doors, the special effects were so good my brain forgot that they weren’t actually standing in the real Ashtray Maze lmao
Semi spoiler for control The projector line is way better then he realizes as the main problem being the hiss is a sound based life form that comes from a single projector slide, a slide the main character is graced with being the first person to find. Though the projector is normal (if I remember correctly)
I know you haven't played more than a few hours, but it being one of my favorite games you'll have so much fun with it, I can promise you. Also this is the song that actually got me to play it, and I'm not disappointed.
This was my introduction to Stupenium. I greatly enjoyed Control, and sought out songs about it. As someone who has perfected Control twice (XB One and Series X), and start a PS4 playthrough, as well as the tutorial of the Switch version, I can highly recommend Control. The gameplay is good (not outstanding, but still perfectly functional), but the story is the draw. Whether the main plot, side content, or environmental and background storytelling, it's all great.
Some suggestions for musicians to listen to if you've never heard them before. 3 who are satire based- Tom Lehrer Stephen Lynch Tim Minchin And 1 who isn't a comedy artist but has a few funny songs Aurelio Voltaire (Songs from Voltaire you should see are:- zombie prostitute, god thinks, the dirtiest song that ain't, coin operates goi, and all songs connected to his BiTrekual album but if you have to pick 3 then bigger in the inside, expandable and either cantina or the U.S.S make shit up)
As I told someone who suggested Tom Lehrer earlier today (in the comments for a different video) I already have heard everything by Tom Lehrer (and I even sampled one of his songs for a song I did with my side project Scooter Picnic). I also not only am a HUGE fan of Stephen Lynch, but I've seen him live several times, covered one of his songs, and mention him numerous times in these videos. 😅 Tim Minchin however is one I am aware of that I've not heard much by, so hopefully I can get some of his stuff on my list. Thanks for the suggestions!
Love this reaction a few things though 1 the name of the angency is called the FBC Federal Bureau of Control. 2 this is basically scp the game. 3 the line when the trenches have fallen remind me of the trenches of WW1 when the trenches have fallen as in they where captured by the enemy but also the previous director was called director trench. 4 the other character The Stupendium is playing is Dr. Casper Darling head of research. 5 you don't fight the fridge you fight the monster in the fridge. and finally am glad no one told you this wasn't a comedy song I know that's what you specialize in but I've been wanting to see you react to this song for ages now.
Missed the Patreon release on this one. A great reaction to one of Stupendiums "busier" songs. Good catch on the little dissonances in the Cami-cat parts. Never thought about those. If you do another poll, please add "The Aftermath" to it. His Baldi's Basics song. It is quite comedic, although also disturbing.
@@Insaneian Yes it was. Apparently I managed to miss it even though I voted in that poll, I seem miss more things than a stormtrooper with his helmet on backwards this week.
Hey Ian, if you're looking for some good comedy songs I suggest JT Music. Their Hello Neighbor rap is a good one. Either way, loved the vid, and hope everything is going great! Edit: Wish I could have gone to NPC
This song was the thing to get me to play Control. I'm a little surprised to see it here, though, since it's _not_ really a comedy song. There are some really silly, comedic moments in the game, like the chief scientist doing a music video dedicated to the main character, but here? Just some really good wordplay, mostly.
Hi Ian, hope you’re doing well. I would recommend checking out Aviators songs. He makes songs about video games that are really good. His music isn’t particularly comedic, delving more into dystopian themes most of the time, but I think you’d really enjoy Traveler’s Song. Of course, this might just be me recommending one of my two favourite musicians to one of the few high quality reaction channels, but I still think you’d like it.
22:12 I think what this sentence actually grammatically means is that it achieved every single thing that it wasn't trying to achieve, and says nothing about what it was trying to achieve. Could be wrong though, English is a mess, and of course I understand that that wasn't the intended meaning.
Hey Ian, do you think you could consider reaction to Dan Bull's 10 Years of Borderlands rap? It's a great song and holds good comedy if only because the source material is inherently comedic
Not fully through it yet, about halfway. But frankly enjoying the reaction anyway, also I don't think you need to entirely worry about ALWAYS reacting to comedy songs, nice to see a change of pace especially since you had an idea about control anyway, and it still is a comedy musician reacts after all, nowhere specifying its comedy your reacting to :p
Hey Ian, I'm going to suggest something to react to but I'm not totally sure how it'd work. I think you'd really enjoy Off Book: an Improvised Musical. It's fantastic comedy and honestly, I'm blown away by how good the Improvised songs are? Though I'll admit I'm no musician myself. The visuals aren't all that great since it's two people on a more or less empty stage, making it up as they go along, but I think you'd really enjoy it nonetheless. The one issue, really, is that as a musical and not just one song, it's more than an hour long? And honestly I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to react to all of that, like that's completely fair and understandable. Even if you decide not to react to it I hope you'll check it out, I really think you'd enjoy it. They normally do a podcast but there's a recording of one of their live performances here on RUclips.
Don't know how these comments are when it comes to spoiler, but ALOT of the Hiss, the main villain(s), talking in this song is from the game like copy of a copy of a copy and earworm humming in the dream
Ian, Stupendium recently worked with Freshy Kanal on a rap battle and it is amazing, you should give it a listen when you get a chance! The wordplay in it overall is really good, plus Stupendium shows off some of his talent, which he has plenty of.
@@Insaneian Names can be hard sometimes... if i could remember real names as well as videogame names it certainly would've saved me some embarrasing moments.
*at beginning of video** "uhhh...this isn't comedy, so I won't really have much to say" **proceeds to stop every 3.5 seconds to gush over the lyrics or visuals and talks for 3 minutes ** I don't blame you, though, cause this guy is brilliant and everyone will find something to love about this song/video 😆 RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!
Cami-cat - the other vocalist in this video - has some good songs of her own. The only two comedies I can name are covers (not sure how you feel about reacting to those): 'Punch-it, Punk' and 'Races- a crap cover about DnD'.
Pleases consider reacting to Veggietales Silly Songs With Larry. They are simply the best ever. Also even if I joined you patreon how easy would it be to get you to react to on of them?
What I've learned is never tell Ian a song isn't comedy if it's great because this reaction is great.
I agree. Ian always has the best reactions, almost at the level stupes song writing skill. Almost.
A large part of the reason why people don't tell you whether or not a song is comedy is because you do really excellent reactions, regardless of the song being a comedy or not. Agreed so much. The insights and knowing the game somewhat helps unravel the double meanings so prevalent to Stupe's songs
Yeah exactly!

YESSS, I have been waiting for this reaction for so long. This song is one of my favorite Stupendium songs.
i always get chills at "thresholds unfold as a door that knocks, in the ticking, in the ticking, in the ticking of the clocks!"
The name of the scientist Stupes was playing: Dr Casper Darling.
Dr. Casper Darling, the head of research is my most favorite in game character of any game, and Stupes played him perfectly!
Finally!!! A reaction to my absolute favorite Stupendium song from my favorite reaction channel! This made me ridiculously happy :D
Damn im sad he didn’t notice the trenches fallen to forces unknown line I’ve always really liked that double meaning
to be fair, only played couple hours and was a good while back, I am not surprised, but it is a nice little pocket yes
I absolutely love this song after having played through Control, there are so many tiny nods to the game that are unnoticeable unless you paid a lot of attention during the game!
example: The line "Trenches have fallen to forces unknown", the name of the Director before the protagonist is Zacharia *Trench* and more stuff like that!
this song excells at having the same feel as Control itself, filled to the brim with tiny missable details
finally, someone reacting to a Control content who actually knows Remedy and their past games
@Insane Ian tags in video description are #Stupendium #TwoPointCampus #BritishSummer. Also Cami-Cat was featured in song so maybe tag them too. Also glad to see the reaction even if it wasn't comedy.
The scientist is dr darling i belive he plays the characters so well i swear
I just misspoke, and then I couldn't remember Jessie's name. 😅
@@Insaneian All good! It came out all the way back in 2019, and I probably would have forgotten the protagonist's name myself if I hadn't become massive obsessed with this game for a solid chunk of time.
Control: Basically SCP
Honestly, for all your comments about blabbering, I love this channel in part because you actually discuss the stuff you're reacting to, pointing out and explaining really interesting things! I don't really see any point in reactions that go like "hey guys! today we'll be reacting to this! *plays whole video without pausing* well that was fun! bye guys!" lol. And to the comments about a 20 min reaction to a 6 min song - I actually love the longer videos, when I check the timeline and there's still a lot left, I get really excited :) All this to say, blabber all you want, the more the better honestly, we're all here for exactly this!
Aww...thanks, I really appreciate that!
I know this isn't your usual fare Ian but i actually really like your takes regardless of whether it's a comedy song or not. Plus Stupes has so many fire songs that don't fall into a strictly comedy genre that i'd love to see your reaction to. Loved the video.
OH MY GOODNESS YES YOU FINALLY REACTED TO THIS ONE
thank you this is one of his best
Also just so you know the two point campus hashtags are still on the video
Whoops. Thanks.
Honestly every time I hear a Stupendium song, I'm like
This ones my favourite, I mean well... No definitely this one, but what about? I dont know that one was good too though, hmmmmm.
Slide Into The Void may not be comedy, but it was a treat seeing you react to it, as it was the first Stupendium song that personally got me hooked on Stupendiums music.
Great reaction as always!
This is my favorite stupendium Song. I was obsessed with it when it came out.
the researcher hes playing Dr. Darling and hes wearing a H.R.A. a Hedron Resonance Amplifier. Also the main characters name is Jesse Faden.
To be fair, I guess reacting to a song that isn't comedy seems to challenge your breakdown skills nicely. I mean, comparing to older non-comedic songs you've reacted to. Some great progress is noticeable even if it's still not your area of expertise. ^^
Either way, it was quite nice, and I never realised until now the meaning of "load another slide into the void". x) ^^
At long last! Been waiting forever for this one!
I gotta say, I didn't think you'd be interested in this one. It's all, like, spooky-ooks and such. Which is right up MY alley, but I'm painfully aware it isn't everyone else's... This is one of my faves from them. ^///^;
Right away, that beautiful pre-chorus chant out of the warped vocal rises... Captures the nature of the game right from square one. X3
Their depictions of both The Director and Dr.
It's been on the Patreon polls several times, but has yet to win.
I still like hearing you appreciate the writing of the song.
Quantum Break is the game you were thinking of that is connected to Alan Wake and Control. You were close. Great game and I love it. Super fun and time travel.
This song feels like some kind of SCP memetic anomaly and i love it
The scientist character is Dr. Casper Darling, the Head of Research.
I finished replaying control with my GF literally today the game is amazing and I highly recommend(also great vid!)
Yesterday I checked and saw that you didnt react to that and you react to this now. Lets "dive in.... to the madness" ;)
I reacted to Dive Into The Madness and Tune Into the Madness when Tune In came out, tho
Its so hard to find reactions to this song, which is unfortunate bc its the song that introduced me to stupendium, a real banger
Glad to see this one. Even though it really isn't a comedy song, it is my favorite Stupes song.
Dr. Darling is as captivating in game as stupes made his bars.
Dudeeeee I thought you’d never react to this song since it isn’t technically comedy but I’m glad you did this is one of my absolute favorites
Also I never really picked up on how freaking awesome that camera pan was from the one hallway to the dozens of doors, the special effects were so good my brain forgot that they weren’t actually standing in the real Ashtray Maze lmao
I've hoped that Ian would react to this song for so long, needless to say I was not disappointed!
Semi spoiler for control
The projector line is way better then he realizes as the main problem being the hiss is a sound based life form that comes from a single projector slide, a slide the main character is graced with being the first person to find. Though the projector is normal (if I remember correctly)
Since you've seen so many Stupendium songs, you should totally make a tier list of them sometime!
I know you haven't played more than a few hours, but it being one of my favorite games you'll have so much fun with it, I can promise you. Also this is the song that actually got me to play it, and I'm not disappointed.
No complaints my dude. This is great.
"If you want me to make the content you want to see, you have to lie to me" is a really weird thing to hear a creator say, but here we are.
I mean, I didn't EXACTLY say that, and I'd prefer if you didn't...but I also can see how you'd come to that conclusion 😅
the fridge beat me multiple times
Ah, Dr. Darling, my beloved
It's a shame you won't do his Red dead 2 song. Stupendiums Western accent is something else and it's a damn good song
I recall a segment where he slips into almost an Elvis tone
I always wanted to see you cover this. I always thought you’d like this one a lot even if you haven’t played the game! It’s like SCP :)
3 who are satire based-
Tom Lehrer
Stephen Lynch
Tim Minchin
And 1 who isn't a comedy artist but has a few funny songs
Aurelio Voltaire
(Songs from Voltaire you should see are:- zombie prostitute, god thinks, the dirtiest song that ain't, coin operates goi, and all songs connected to his BiTrekual album but if you have to pick 3 then bigger in the inside, expandable and either cantina or the U.S.S make shit up)
As I told someone who suggested Tom Lehrer earlier today (in the comments for a different video) I already have heard everything by Tom Lehrer (and I even sampled one of his songs for a song I did with my side project Scooter Picnic).
Always makes me wanna play the game again after I listen to this song
This and the outer worlds were the first two songs I every really loved from Stupendium. However my first one was Why did I say okie dokie.
2:38 the game is named quantum break
Love this reaction a few things though
1 the name of the angency is called the FBC Federal Bureau of Control.
If I remember correctly what’s in the fridge is some kind of Eldrich Divine akin to the Board. Which just makes things funnier.
Aftermath should have been on the last poll, I'm pretty sure.
@@Insaneian Yes it was. Apparently I managed to miss it even though I voted in that poll, I seem miss more things than a stormtrooper with his helmet on backwards this week.
"Everything is Fading" by Dan Bull is also a great Control song, almost as good as this one, if you want to check it out now.
12:12 boss battle against the former but yes
Hey Ian, if you're looking for some good comedy songs I suggest JT Music. Their Hello Neighbor rap is a good one. Either way, loved the vid, and hope everything is going great!
Edit: Wish I could have gone to NPC
Ask Stupes if you can borrow their dictionary / thesaurus since you can't seem to find the words
I really need to go back and finish Control.
This song was the thing to get me to play Control. I'm a little surprised to see it here, though, since it's _not_ really a comedy song. There are some really silly, comedic moments in the game, like the chief scientist doing a music video dedicated to the main character, but here? Just some really good wordplay, mostly.
i know random encounters does some more light hearted and funnier songs more often. theres a few more serious ones but mostly its humor
quick thing the hashtags are from the previous video
Hi Ian, hope you’re doing well. I would recommend checking out Aviators songs. He makes songs about video games that are really good.
His music isn’t particularly comedic, delving more into dystopian themes most of the time, but I think you’d really enjoy Traveler’s Song.
Of course, this might just be me recommending one of my two favourite musicians to one of the few high quality reaction channels, but I still think you’d like it.
A fellow Aviators fan??? In the wild????
@@elizakarnopp8921 Took me a while to see this but eyyy! This never happens!
22:12 I think what this sentence actually grammatically means is that it achieved every single thing that it wasn't trying to achieve, and says nothing about what it was trying to achieve.
Could be wrong though, English is a mess, and of course I understand that that wasn't the intended meaning.
Control is based off of the SCP's, but can't say they're SCP's 'cause copyright.
Good to know, thanks!
I forgot you haven’t seen this yet wow
Don't know how these comments are when it comes to spoiler, but ALOT of the Hiss, the main villain(s), talking in this song is from the game like copy of a copy of a copy and earworm humming in the dream
Ian, Stupendium recently worked with Freshy Kanal on a rap battle and it is amazing, you should give it a listen when you get a chance! The wordplay in it overall is really good, plus Stupendium shows off some of his talent, which he has plenty of.
Already reacted to it! Hit my Patreon last night, will be live here tomorrow!
"words aren't here, please leave a message" cuz the message refills the words?
Also, you keep saying Erin, isn't the main protagonist Jesse Faden?
Yes that is her name 😊
Yeah, I goofed and got the name wrong...and I had JUST looked at it too. 🤦♂️
@@Insaneian Names can be hard sometimes... if i could remember real names as well as videogame names it certainly would've saved me some embarrasing moments.
Looking forward to Pizza the Action!
Has some decent comedy in it, too
If you decide to do his prey song “and then I prey” there are some puns in there right away so that something
It's been on the Patreon poll for a while...
@@Insaneian I don’t have patreon so I will patiently await either the day I have patreon or the day it gets chosen from the poll
*at beginning of video** "uhhh...this isn't comedy, so I won't really have much to say"
**proceeds to stop every 3.5 seconds to gush over the lyrics or visuals and talks for 3 minutes **
I don't blame you, though, cause this guy is brilliant and everyone will find something to love about this song/video 😆 RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!
I call it his rymitionary(rime-ish shun-ary)
Cami-cat - the other vocalist in this video - has some good songs of her own. The only two comedies I can name are covers (not sure how you feel about reacting to those): 'Punch-it, Punk' and 'Races- a crap cover about DnD'.
Good Show, I love the Game Control
Pleases consider reacting to Veggietales Silly Songs With Larry. They are simply the best ever. Also even if I joined you patreon how easy would it be to get you to react to on of them?
:) and Fun Fact Control is inspired By SCP
A comment tribute to the Algorithmic gods.
Actually i think stup is playing as dr darling
