There was something wrong with the father, he was clearly not fully there, like he has had a stroke. And this was part of the struggles that the son mentioned in the beginning. So the mother has been carrying an even bigger burden that what was being said.

I wish I had the chance to repay my parents before they passed. I was a troubled teen. Always choose the wrong people to hang with and doing drugs. Lost my dad in 2014 and my mom in 2017, a month before my 30th birthday. I wish that I could talk to them for 5 minutes, to tell them I´ve been clean for 4 years now and started a new positive chapter in my life! I am finally proud of myself for the first time in 35 years and I wish that I could share it with them
