    Every US citizen I have ever met that had been to Australia without the "Merican" attitude literally LOVED Australia. Loved the video. TY for sharing it with the world.

      I mean most Americans love Australia and love the people there, certainly more so than the uk. I feel like Aussie's think we have some deep rooted suspicion of them or something but ive never even met anyone that hasn't said something positive about Australia. I also think you guys are pretty similar to us in the sense of patriotism and being proud of where your from, and im all for that.

      @@Jklopoppcorn most Americans I've met have been great people. I think in alot of ways we are quite similar. Australians are probably a bit more laid back. It's not that we don't care we just don't get as stressed about stuff.

      My dad saw American tourists shopping in Hobart in the 1960s. He said they were so rude that the cashier looked them in the eye as she tore up the US banknotes she was handed. No sale.

    Loved watching a video of where you guys are in the Sunshine Coast my grandparents live in Noosa (in Sunshine Coast) and I’m in Victoria and we are in Stage 4 lockdown and I miss them a lot. So thanks so much for reminding me of the amazing sunny coast.

    That's so cool that you went up to Wild Horse Lookout! That's my favourite spot to see the Glasshouse Mountains, the sunset backdrop is so awesome.

    Kookaburra is pronounce like "cook" (the "oo" is like look, not moo) then it's Burra not Barra, like baa like a sheep just short. Baa-ra (short vowels not long, burra)

    Oh custard apples take me back. My grandmother grew them as well as Chockos and fruit salad plants. We all refused to eat them for various reasons. Now I wish I had tried them.

    I live on the sunshine coast (Buderim) and its so nice to see it through a tourists perspective. Mooloolaba looks so nice! Thanks for sharing your visit

    The Sunshine Coast is so beautiful and underrated. It runs circles around the Gold Coast. Sunny Coast is much more peaceful and less cosmopolitan; more modest... :) ;)

      The Sunshine Coast is for old folk or relaxing. The Gold Coast is for young folk partying or other excitement. Totally different in most respects but both have great beaches and hinterland. Not really comparable for the most part.

    Naw, the Alex Surf Club is about a 2 min walk from my grandparents house. Because of travel restrictions I can’t get up there to see them, so this made me ache for them! Glad you seemed to love the beautiful Sunny Coast, one of my favourite places in the world x

    That kookaburra bit really reminds me of my Nan. Everyday the kookaburras would line up on the balcony railing and you tossed balls of mince in the air for them and they would gobble it up. My favourite aussie bird.

      @@HappyHoppe One thing you might like to have a look at is an annual event called the "Birdsville Races", its on about september from memory, south western Queensland. It doesn't get much more out back than that, you'll need a good hat too mate

    Cook named the Glasshouse Mountains, and he also named the entire East Coast "New South Wales". So its not Queensland, it is still New South Wales as far as Cook is concerned.

      Custard apple. A tropical fruit, texture a bit like mango or rockmelon, flavour is custard-like. I don't know where the apple part of the name comes from. They're not native to Australia but grow very well in the subtropics.

    Lone PINE Koala ...... I have a photo of me taken in 1972 in Air Force Uniform holding a Koala. Sent it to my new welsh to be pen pal in 1973. 1975 we met, 1976 we married and now 2021 45 years of marriage with our soul mates. I wish I could attach the photo of me to show you.

      @@HappyHoppe there's different types of coffee. If you don't like it too strong, try having a latte with some flavouring like hazelnut or caramel or a flat white. Although to clarify when we say coffee we mean hot drinks and not frappes.
