Hi Tauri ! The band's drummer, TAM MURATA, is one of the top three female drummers in Japan and became a mom last year. So she may now be the best mother drummer in the world.
Yeah, you're right. There are so many female drummers in Japan who have become professional drummers under the influence of NAO, such as Nemophila's TAM and BAND-MAID's AKANE.
I freakin well knew you’d love them. This band is so talented. Their joy of music and performance is obvious on all their covers and original clips. They also show mistakes made on their live performance not afraid to let people see how genuine they are despite all being amazing musicians. That’s why so many people are falling for Nemophila. Dissension or Oiran next.
Yep - I knew you were going to love them! 💜 They always look like they're having such fun. Probably the most smiley band in the world. 😁 "Raitei" means Thunder - and they brought it with this one.
That was pure face-melting awesomeness! One of the band members was wearing an Arch Enemy shirt, and I definitely hear that influence in terms of being both crushing and catchy. Black with pops of color is my favorite color scheme. 🙂
Thanks for reacting to Nemophila. This is already my favorite group (and I knew them at the beginning of March) was seeing them in the recording studio with OIRAN: ruclips.net/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/видео.html And getting caught by these girls.
Next from NEMOPHILA would be "Dissension" and then their cover for The Minions' "Banana Song" 🤘🏼🤘🏼 Thanks for the reaction Tauri. It's only natural you like the song (and the band) instantly. They're a supergroup consists of highly-skilled members with experiences from their other/previous bands.
The best is yet to come because each of their other six original songs are bringing something new to the table. 🔥 "Oiran" was their first original song, performed in their rehearsal room.
Mayu’s style is almost the opposite of Asami’s (Asami has an R&B, Blues, Jazz background, Mayu a grunge/alternative rock) but they are both great metal singers. Imagine a tour with Lovebites and Nemophila how insane would be. Hazuki (the guitarist on the left, with thT Arch Enemy shirt, playing the Ibanez was playing at Disqualia (an offshoot band of DESTROSE) and she is playing also in Lisa-X Band. Murata Tamu, the drummer she is basically a hired gun and one of the most talented, skillful and respected drummers in the Japanese metal scene. She became a mother to a son few months ago. Saki, the other guitarist with the Killer guitar is one of the veterans of the female metal scene in Japan, former guitarist of Destrose, she plays in Mary’s Blood and also recently she released a solo project. Very prolific. The bassist is comparatively unknown before this band but she is very talented and very happy. 😊
Nice one RAITEI is my #1 favorite from Nemophila, the laughing ⚡⚡⚡ Oiran should be next, it's from the rehearsals studio. Wow your name suits you, Tauri like Taura(cat) in Japanese. Well I'm also a Taura in Japanese/Chinese Zodiac, and I love cats too 🐈😺
Great band. One of the happiest metal bands around. The collective talent in the band is off the charts. They are a project turned into a band and the people fell instantly in love when they appeared in the scene. They will do a live streaming concert this month (at 19 I think ) so check them out live. They have done a number of interesting covers (Iron Maiden, AC/DC, KISS, BABYMETAL, even the banana song from Minions 🤣🤣). Oiran, this and Dissention are their original songs.
Congrats on finding Nemophila! They were founded in 2019. They are a supergroup composed of: Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects) Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding. Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized Mayu with some help from Saki. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” ruclips.net/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/видео.html They tend toward hard and heavy, but also do ballads and some pop covers. After Oiran, others to check out include "Dissension", which will fry whatever is left of your circuits: ruclips.net/video/26aMuahxz8c/видео.html. Nemophila’s youtube channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCvoAeGZoC8giXP59NOZABIAvideos
Your reaction was very nice to see - to be blown away by Nemophila is absolutely fit and proper (and believe it or not - there are many who felt mown down by hearing Nemophila's songs; including me myself!); the group gathered some of the best musicians in japanese women's metal scene today - in particular Saki, the guitarist with the beautiful amp, is well known for her long lasting participation in Mary's Blood, another excellent all-female metal band (check out their tune "Marionette", for example); and there is the incredibly skilled and well-liked drummer Murata Tamu, who participated in numerous projects like indiepop girlband Soramimi, metal idol group Ladybaby, a X-Japan-coverband and so on. The others - Hazuki (gt), Haraguchisan (b) and vocalist Mayu - weren't that famous, but they are badass musicians as well. "Raitei" for sure won't be the only tune that blows you away, every one of their six other original pieces will do as well (although the band is very versatile, so that the range of musical styles is wide). As the band was founded less than two years ago, their repertoire of original songs is still quite small; but they have lots of exquisite covers (mainly of rock and heavy metal classics, be it international ones or japanese; their last cover is Iron Maidens "Aces high", a real banger!). Happy listening! LOL!
Some infos on their songs: "Dissension" is kind of metalcore in Nemophila style, quite heavy, as is "Oiran" (but that's more traditional metal somehow); "Sorai" is similar to Oiran, Fighter and Monsters are basically heavy rock songs (with just some metal inserts/influences, the second one embellished with catchy synthie sounds), and then there is the emotional rock ballad "Life", which they performed in a livestream show as celebration of their drummer who had given birth to a daughter and was returning from maternity leave - take care, explicit tissue alarm to be expected ... BTW you'll find Nemophilas YT-channel here: ruclips.net/channel/UCvoAeGZoC8giXP59NOZABIAfeatured (here all their songs are stored)
Probably my favorite Nemophila song, so well constructed and the explosion at the end is an unexpected but perfect pay-off. I'd suggest checking out the band Hanabie (pronounced "hana-be-eh") and their song We Love Sweets - you can find it here: ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html
Try their song Life, very emotional song. It is from their august live stream concert. Fighter a great song. Sakis amps are all with that design, she is also guitarist of Mary’s Blood. Hazuki is also guitarist with Lisa X , and Disqualia. Nemo- fill-ah.
Welcome to the world of Nemophila fairly new started in 2019 .Made up of some heavy hitters Saki right guitar unbelievable and plays in Marys Blood as well as other projects Hazuki left plays with LisaX . Tamu( drums)world class .Haraguchi (bass) superb was with Holderlins .And Mayu one special vocalist .Ratei (thunder) is 1/10th of what they can do 7 tracks to date all bangers and all with a different vibe to them and full of smiles .All songs to date out on the new remastered Oiran CD out 25th from JPU records UK .Then There is the covers where you see unbelievable levels of talent, classic rock to Anime they can do it all. online concert 19th of this month there superb .
great reaction. if you want a good "slap in the face" rock/metal band....NEMOPHILA is my #1 pick of all of them ! they are phenomenal !! now id say check out DISSENSION and LIFE !
In case you're interested, the lyrics are translated below. 雷霆 Rai Tei (rye tay) is a fancy or literary way of saying thunder and lightning. It's uncommon in everyday talk but appears in Chinese and Japanese literature. There's simply no way the lyrics can be translated into English without losing a lot. There are rhymes, puns, literary references, and plain bad-ass attitude in the original Japanese words. There are places where the meaning isn't clear even to native Japanese speakers. It's not unusual in the lyrics of contemporary Japanese groups to find references to classical literature/culture. You get it, for instance, in Band-Maid's "Rinne" and "After Life" and in Babymetal's "Akatsuki". What's below is GoogleTranslate's English version. It doesn't do justice to the original lyrics, but it gives a very basic idea of what's going on. There might be some website where someone has come up with something better. I started doing my own translation, but it gave me a headache and I quit. The lyrics remind me of some of the things Miku of Band-Maid writes, mixing light and darkness. I can't hide my upset Finally overflowing anxiety Escape The black sky is emotionally noisy Bark bark I hate Face down Bark bark I hate Chew your mouth without saying four or five [This last line is unusual nowadays but means "stop fussing and whining and shut your mouth". Thank you very much for reacting to my favorite band!! I would recommend Oiran next then Dissension then LIfe, a note on Life, it is a ballad sung to Drummer who just came back from having a baby so they a bit emotional and they celebrate Hazuki's birthday, guitarist in shredded black pants.
Great reaction! These ladies have some great stuff. My vote goes to "Oiran" next as far as original material. But they also have some great covers of the likes of Iron Maiden, Helloween, KISS, AC/DC, to name few that are well worth checking out.
People in your comments are going to say Dissension should be your next Nemophila song, and add me to that list. Here is another Japanese, all-female metal band you should add to your list. Hanabie - We Love Sweets (mv)
Nice reaction Tauri! NEMOPHILA "Life" is my favorite song of theirs. But so far, there isn't a song I don't like by these ladies. They have a livestream the 2021/06/19 18:00 JST. It's going to be a recorded live show, so the band members would be able to interact with the fans during the stream and the quality of the sound and video would also be better. Don't forget to come back to the other japanese all female bands you reacted to like DOLL$BOXX or BAND-MAID (they released a new live video recently). Oh, and there's also this all female japanese band called HANABIE with the song "We Love Sweets". But you're not ready yet...😏
i love love love band maid but nemophila hit different spots for me and are just up there for me....all their songs are awsome some harder some more "chill" bbt all good ...even the covers
They just release first album Revive on Disember 15, 2021 and I have seen your react to Revive song. For the next songs, try react to Hypnosis, Hozuki (Demon Light) and Rollin Rollin.
Mi banda favorita Nemophila 🤟 está no se cualquier banda, está banda será la mejor banda de Japan! Si todo sale bien! Ojalá Mayu no me descuidé ésa única y maravillosa voz, ella es irremplazable! ❤️ i liked your reaction 👍 l suscribe greetings.

This one will actually be prerecorded so they can interact during the stream, also they said so the quality will be better (I have seen all their online concerts and its great with a rare issue because sometimes their sound guys mess up). Remember, If you cant watch it on that day, you can replay it as many times as you want for 3 days after. Everyone be sure you catch them!! Tickets on sale NOW! l-tike.com/concert/mevent/?mid=552827
Hey Tauri! Love the reaction. Your face when the drop at the end comes was the same as mine. lol! Nemophila is an awesome band. Mayo's voice is addictive and Saki is a wizard on the guitar. Please react to Hanabie as well. I feel you might enjoy them, this is their song We love Sweets, which is just incredible: ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html
I would like to know what you think about Loïc Nottet, a singer and dancer from Belgium. His most popular song is "Million Eyes": ruclips.net/video/68EnJITH-5Q/видео.html and another recommendation is "Mr/Mme" (his only song in his mother tongue French, but the video has English subtitles): ruclips.net/video/DS8Hkf_aOr4/видео.html
Hi Tauri !
The band's drummer, TAM MURATA, is one of the top three female drummers in Japan and became a mom last year. So she may now be the best mother drummer in the world.

Still .. I love Nemophila. they just hit all the right buttons and Mayu's voice is just perfect.

I can't hide my upset
Finally overflowing anxiety
Escape The black sky is emotionally noisy
Bark bark I hate
Face down
Bark bark I hate
Chew your mouth without saying four or five
[This last line is unusual nowadays but means "stop fussing and whining and shut your mouth". "Saying four or five" is an expression from traditional Japanese dice gambling.]
You can shine many times
Reach out
Cut through with lightning stone fire
Shoot the lost heart in the darkness
Thunderstorm
Keep believing in you I believed in

If you don't touch it
Just parallel lines
Where are you going
Call out that it was insignificant
Raidou Raidou I know
Leak a cry
Raidou Raidou I know
There is no answer
["Raidou" is an unusual word and GoogleTranslate couldn't figure it out. It's pronounced "rye doe" and rhymes with "I know", and it's written with the same "rai" as the song title "Raitei". "Raidou" literally means the echo of thunder, but figuratively it means not having an opinion or thought of your own and just agreeing with or repeating anything someone else says.]
If the voice of my heart disappears
I scream with all my heart
This big city
Shaking thunderstorm
Don't close your ears
Wherever you will go
[Literally "the big city blasted by a thunderbolt".]
You can shine many times
Don't forget, clear eyes that shake off all the deadlines
Thunderstorm
Beyond the feelings I gave up, I'm on my side
Give off your light that I believed in
Don't lose sight
Thunderstorm
