Jamie Quinlan exactly!! I think this can be really helpful for teens and young adults who have no choice and have to shop at thrift stores, to turn it trendy instead of something to be ashamed off.

Another tip is when your thrifting since they are second hand is that you need to check under the armpits in case there are any stains like sweat or deodorant stains!

Little thrifting tip:
If you find items with stains/holes/missing buttons ect. just ask the cashier if you can get it a little cheaper. Doesn't always work, but I saved some good money doing it ;)

I remember people calling me cheap, poor, and broke because I shopped at thrift stores and I loved going but I was scared because I knew everyone would make fun of me now it’s so “trendy” and “aesthetic” -___-

All my clothes since I was little are from thrift stores/goodwill and I got picked on too😂

i’m glad thrift stores are the trend now and here’s why: people that used to be embarrassed about shopping second hand (me in elementary) can go freely without feeling judged anymore. it’s also a good way to save money for everyone and it helps the environment. this also steers away from fast fashion. a lot of thrift stores also donate a % of their sales to churches, hospitals, and to the military.😃 thrift on and i hope you all find the best things💕

I don’t get why some countries don’t do thrift shops. Peru doesn’t have any in Lima at least, but it’s kinda wasteful not to reuse clothes
We have only expensive vintage shops or small second hands shops with only weird clothing in germany
Guys, thrift-store youtubers are not trying to be “cool” and “ascetic” I think they are trying to show you that money isn’t everything! And that you can have good clothes you just need to know where to look! And I thank all of the people who are trying to reuse things in this horrible run-down world we are living in!! So don’t be lazy and say your thrift store ‘isn’t good’ find a way! Ty, have a good day!

I used to live in Texas and now I live in Mexico and looking back I used to be scared of saying that my family would buy clothes from the thrift store because we didn't have a lot of money and so I always dressed differently or whenever they asked where I bought something I didn't want to be very open about it. Now it's seemed as 'cool' or 'aesthetic'. My advice to anyone out there that's been bullied or picked on because of their clothes, style, race, color, accent etc please don't let negativity be a part of your life and control your style or change you in any way. Be proud of where you are and thankful for what you've got. ❣️
i wish we had this in the uk! we have charity shops which are really small and only sell granny clothes, and vintage second hand shops, which are so overpriced - like £80 for a denim jacket (this is second hand)

I literally go on holiday to America to go thrift shopping. The stores there are super big and at low prices, I adore them. I always bring an extra empty suitcase just to be filled with my new thrift clothes ♥️

If you don’t have good thrifting/charity shop, have a look at asos marketplace! Make sure you’re on the marketplace snd not asos itself. its ran by asos but has different shops with the general theme being vintage and aesthetic etc. Enjoy!

I'm not a fan of t-shirt or sweat pants, but LOVE the men's section for button down shirts, sweater vests, hats and even shoes. Last time I was at the thrift I got 2 dagger collar 70's button downs, an oversized beige sweater vest, an amazing wool hat and a pair of leather dress shoes (spat style). Shirts, vest and hat were $1 each and shoes were $5!!

There's a salvation army and a goodwill near me (an hour away but hey I live in Montana) and theres almost always nothing. They'll have the same 20 items for weeks cause they're pretty small but oh well I guess, I'm still waiting on that cool lucky find!

I took advice from youtubers and went to the men’s section and some guy kept staring at me and my friend, so we just started saying “yeah my brother would like this hehehe” so he wouldn’t think some middle school girl was looking through the men’s section. He seemed really weirder out lol!

Honestly I never thought as goodwill as a “poor people place” I just always thought of it as like a huge donation pile for just normal people to shop through also ik a lot of people hate on us thrifter for taking all the good stuff from people who maybe can’t afford as nice of stuff ( not saying the stuff there isn’t good bc a lot of the times it is) but for example I really needed so new pajamas bc I couldn’t find anything I liked at other places so I tried thrifting and I found a nice t shirt that I cropped a little made it go from like a 8 to a 10 and now I have a pajama shirts. So sometimes we just need new or more clothes and we don’t want to spend like 20 bucks on a set so pls don’t say we are stealing cute thing or whatever 👍
