Thank you, but wish the entire 4 minutes was here so I could see what causes the audience reactions on the recording from disc 2 of Plays.

From 1:40 on though, Ligeti mixed with Prokofiev and Spanish like Ginastera!

Sounds like Chick all the way in the intro... Yaron must have studied him extensively....

Jazz players have a terrible piano technique. I never saw something that bad coming from accomplished musicians.

      How is their technique bad?

their technique is excellent. yaron used to say he learnt technique before anything. and corea.. yeah. just try to improvise like him.. classical (i come from classical) is a good school for technique. but the technique mixed with improvisation is something else. A classical player don't understand what he is playing (not the best of course), so that his work is focus on a piece and its details. A jazz player is able to assume structures from harmony to melody, his technique is based on his understanding of what he can do with music on his piano. "a terrible technique" is rather a bad sound, no shapes, and a bad tempo, than any mistakes. There is no such things here. These are virtuoso, and corea is one of the greatest.
