    Where'd you get those playing cards?! So neat!

    That coffin-shaped dice tray is chef's kiss! I love your real plays. They're equally useful and entertaining. Thank you!

      I made that dice tray from a pet coffin. The bottom opens up and I can store my dice in it. When I do another video I will show it off. Thank you for the feedback on my videos.

    Clicked for a review....but really enjoyed the process of you making it your own. Ever heard of an RPG called "Coyote Trail"?

    There's a neat Weird Frontiers book from DCC I think that might be fun to draw from. It's a huge book, so I imagine you could find a few things!

      I will look for that especially since I like DCC.

    Once again I'm enjoying your videos. There are some random tables for Westerns on drive-thru RPG. I could not find mine so I couldn't tell you what the names of them were sorry. But you're trying to use poker as an Oracle made me think of using blackjack as an Oracle so now I'm going to go see if I can figure that one out.

    • @solitaryrpg
      @solitaryrpg  Год назад

      I will have to take a look for those random tables. I really do like Westerns so they would be worth the investment. Let me know how the Blackjack works out. Consider doing something more than the normal rules of Blackjack. Maybe if the total is even you look on the Yes table and Odd you look on the No table. If you go over that is a No And And. That should give you more balance between results.

      @@solitaryrpg My first problem with trying to do blackjack as an Oracle was I just ended up playing blackjack and it didn't get me to the game as fast as I wanted. I like the feel of it since it still felt kind of westerny but it just took me out of the RPG. So then I just moved on to doing high low. Pull the first card, if the next card is higher it's yes if the next card is lower it's no if it's a match then something sideways happens. Same suit is a butt same color is and. That seems to be working keeps me in the Western field since I'm playing with cards but does not take long at all.

    • @solitaryrpg
      @solitaryrpg  Год назад +1

      That is why I like trying new things. You started out going in one direction and came up with something totally cool. I will give your hight low concept a try that might actually work out great. Super easy and keeps the game moving forward. Thank you for sharing your results I can't wait to try it out.

    I just picked up this book. Nice little game. For other Western stuff you might want to check out: Aces High and Aces High: New Mexico (Chaosium), Gunslingers & Gamblers (available for two different rules sets from FJ Gaming), Coyote Trail Expanded (Precis Intermedia).

    • @solitaryrpg
      @solitaryrpg  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the share and I will check out those games. What I like about the Morg Borg concept is they just give you enough to get started. Than you get to add to the game what you like. It really lets you get creative and just try new things.

    • @MrVoraxTranstellaris

      @@solitaryrpg I also really like Haunted West, which is an 800-page tome, but I've specifically suggested games that are not as extensive and have fairly simple rules.
      By the way, doesn't Aces & Eights have a lot of mini games in it that you could just "steal"?

    • @solitaryrpg
      @solitaryrpg  Год назад +1

      @@MrVoraxTranstellaris There are some things I can steal and put into my games. The one that stands out is the Trial Process. Maybe if I end up getting caught I might use those rules.

    Do you have a video on your oracle 7 or how you choose oracles/solo game aides?

    • @solitaryrpg
      @solitaryrpg  Год назад +1

      Oracle 7 is something I created when playing Dead Mall. It is a 3 video series and you can see it in action in video 3. I choose oracle and game aides that just feel right for the game. There are just so many tools on the market you just need to find what you like and use it. My only real requirement is what ever I use cant get in the way of enjoying the game so I look for simple and easy tools to bolt on to my games.

      @@solitaryrpg Thank you. I commented mid video and watched the rest. I saw how you used the tools you choose and that was very helpful. I'll check out the Dead mall video to see oracle 7 in action. Thanks again. I appreciate the detail and time you took to explain this. :) Looking forward to more videos from your channel.
