Something to note about Sonic is that his moveset was not directly inspired by smash bros, but by Sonic The Fighters, which was the Sonic 3d fighter from the 90’s, and where many of the moves used in smash came from. You can really tell how much love and care the devs had for Sonic.
I’d have also mentioned the Ghostbusters and Back to the Future characters, considering they’re both iconic 80s characters who don’t get much love in official sets. The same could also go for stuff like Beetlejuice and Mission Impossible since they’ve never even had a dedicated theme.
I think a lot of LEGO properties don’t get full themes, for example: when researching for this video I found out they did 2 powerpuff girls sets I had 0 idea existed!.. I now own them both 😂
Bubbles talks to snakes because each powerpuff girl has a unique ability, Bubbles can talk to animals, Blossom can blow ice and Buttercup can curl her tongue (this is the least interesting of the powers and everyone does it, but for some reason the other 2 can't)
My personal favorite was Gamer Kid. He basically had the costume mechanic Chase had, but in the first year. Plus, his vehicle lets you play 40 Midway games, so there's a lot of value. Honorable mention for me would be Chell from Portal. I didn't fully appreciate her when I was little, but now that I've played the two games, I can now see how amazing of an inclusion she was.
When lego dimensions was released i was so exited bc at the time i was a huge fan of Portal and lego games and two of my favorite things in the world as a kid was charming, hope we get a sequel in the future
Lego City Undercover is such an underrated masterpiece, as well as Dimensions. They really did go all out with those games. Definitely would love to see a retrospective on LCU Honestly great picks!
The doctor was epic. I wish i could share this game with my younger kids. It was so mich fun (and money) but the ability to swap between doctors was insane
@@JohantheFunnyguy I love Truman show, don’t get me wrong but do you really think it would work? What abilities would he have? What would the puzzles be? On the train of thought of Jim Carrey movies, I think a grinch or dr Seuss dimension would work pretty well though.
My favourite is absolutely Sonic, he's just so incredibly fun to traverse the open worlds with, and his hub and level are amazing. His animations and Roger's voice lines are brilliant too lol The Doctor and all the Adventure Time characters are my runner-ups, just so much love and care put into these characters.
So to provide context on Melissa: Melissa is a gag character who only actually appeared in one episode during season 1 of the show as one of LSP's friends. While she never actually appeared again, occasionally we'd hear LSP gossiping with her on the phone or trash talking her behind her back. The joke of her in the show is essentially the same as in Dimensions. This must be a close friend LSP likes to talk to/about a lot, but you never really get to see her.
I’m late to this video, but your tear list is beautiful. I mean from a number one I’ll just go with Gamer Kid and Ethan Hunt. No shaping or anything, but because I really imagine them going on a new adventure together, not knowing each other having an opposite to each each other. I admire on how it would work in a live action Lego dimension film.
I love Lego dimensions, and im glad to see a channel dedicated to it! (so far, that is) I watched your last video thinking you already had thousands of subscribers, but when i saw this video, i checked your channel and you only have 2k!??!! You've earned a sub from me!
when i first got lego dimensions, wave 2 had only just released, i only ever got my hand on a few packs, one being the doctor who level pack cause im a nerd who loves time travel, but it was when wave 3 came out that my wii u (yes i got the wii u version, i didnt have a playstation or xbox at the time) had finally cracked under all the updates, so, I was out of luck for the remainder of its time in the spotlight, and now, years later, i got the xbox one version, a new toypad for my xbox, and just about every pack needed to 100% the game, granted i needed to spend a few hundred dollars on ebay and amazon to get them, but it was so worth it, the wave of nostalgia that hit me when i booted the game up after so many years was a rush that i will never lose again. Genuinely hope TT consider making a PC port for Steam like Disney did with Infinity, that way people can still keep the game alive even if the dlc's on console stores disappear forever (to my knowledge, once you have a dlc in your library on steam, you have it forever, even if its removed from the steam store, so we wouldn't have to worry about it disappearing if it gets removed)
The doctor is my favorite as well, alongside the Chima characters (I was very nostalgic for the Chima show), and Finn from Adventure Time And I was super happy that they made the Lego doctor based on my favorite doctor, Peter, as opposed to one of the far more popular ones that came before him
The trademark for LEGO Dimensions got renewed in 2022, which could mean Warner Bros is still interested in the game and could be developing a reboot. I hope the first 30 franchises in the original game will be in the reboot and I wonder what new franchises will be in the reboot. I doubt it'll be a toys-to-life game since the toys-to-life era is over, but I'll still love it.
I still feel like the dr who content is the closest to being a stand alone game there’s enough characters to practically fill an early Lego game roster but I’d agree there’s just so much detail crammed in
Back at it again with the Great lego dimensions videos. This game is so underrated and you don't see much content about it. But anyway, I love using Sloth,Sonic,Finn and Jake
My Favorite Pack is with Knight Rider i really wish they would have giving it a Level Pack and K.I.T.T. more of his Function's like Turbo Boost and Grapling Hook!
Hey just wanted to say your content is brilliant and i have a request to a short video can you maybe break down what it would cost to get all the Lego dimensions charectors and vehicles here in 2025? If not its totally fine keep up the good work : D
Great Video Man! And so I’m guessing we are getting a worse characters list in future? Also Mellisa is one of LSP’s friends from lumpy space and she also kinda doesn’t like her because she’s dating her ex boyfriend brad and she uses her to get what she needs (like using Mellisa’s car in a episode)
Omg, I just posted a comment on your last video and I didn't realise that these are your first 2 videos?? In that case, congrats on how well your last video done, but I am confused on how you already have nearly 2k subs with only 1 video released a week ago?? I hope you continue to upload more Dimensions videos in the future, I love this game and I love it when new videos on it come out!
Thanks! I’ve been making RUclips shorts for a little while now, but I’m also shocked at how fast the last video took off. Very much doubting this one will do as good, but I am gonna continue making stuff simply because I enjoy it :)
I haven’t seen the video yet. But if we’re going by abilities my top 5 would be 5. Chell and a ghostbuster 4. Finn and Jake 3. Doctor Who 2. Super girl 1. Chase Mcain I own every single set and have experience playing as all of them as I’ve 100%’ed Lego Dimensions back in 2022. I would say my personally favourite character had to be ET due to his animations. But mostly every character is special and unique in their owns way I genuinely can’t decide. I probably had the most fun as Ethan hunt since I love the MI movies.
From making to a video about how we could lose LEGO Dimensions to a video on the best characters. I dunno if that’s messed up, or if that’s a big glow up.
I wish I got The Doctor. I got a bunch of cool guys like Gamer Kid and Superman (and ET, for some reason{and two more Supermans, which I have no idea how they got there}), but then I got super into Disney Infinity before finally getting the Switch. I'm replaying Dimensions now, though.
alot of the year 2 characters which have alot of abilities have some abilities only found in the year 2 levels and hub worlds but Chase is usefull throughout the entire game
IIRC none of the Simpsons voice clips are original at all. There was a lot of legal hell with Fox to get that world in with a lot of sacrifices made with their stingy hold on it to the point that not even the music from the show could be used
MY FAVORITE FRANCHISE, AND CHARACTERS OF LEGO DIMENSIONS WAS DEFINITELY THE WICKED WITCH, DOROTHY, THE TIN TAN, COWARDLY LION, AND THE SCARECROW, BUT THE CRAZY THING IS THE FACT THAT DOROTHY, THE TIN MAN, COWARDLY LION, AND THE SCARECROW WEREN'T PLAYABLE CHARACTERS EXCEPT FOR THE WICKED WITCH WHEN LEGO DIMENSIONS FIRST CAME OUT WHICH THEY'VE COULD'VE BEEN AS WELL IS BEYOND ME SMH 💯😑. AND THE WORST PART IS WHEN LEGO DIMENSIONS FIRST CAME OUT, AND BEFORE IT HAD GOTTEN CANCELED I ALSO HEARD THAT ESPIO, VECTOR, AND CHARMY FROM THE SONIC THE HEDGEHOG FRANCHISE WAS ALSO DETERMINED TO BE IN THE GAME TO YA'LL 😩 IKR IT'S CRAZY LOL 💯.
And for the puzzle section moving my character on the toy pad is a pain in the neck. And even building the toy pad and vehicle even though it’s in lego dimensions personally didn’t enjoy the toy pad and toy tag and building the toy pad took me 1 hour to complete because I started the toy pad from 11:00 🕚 am to 12:00 🕛 pm which is pain in the neck and i cannot take the toy pad much longer just wanted to explore the hub world with every character really enjoyed wizard of oz and doctor who hub world and the tardis even though it’s in the video game 🎮 and don’t have to build the vehicle for it. I enjoyed the Simpsons level pack because it was taken from the tv show but just don’t like building the vehicle it’s the worst thing i ever done as a teenager-Luke. And for me I want to play every single character from every single hub world 🌍 no more 7 characters and no more toy pad or toy tag just wanted every single character and wave1-9 and year 1-2 and story, level, team, and fun pack if lego dimensions got reboot which means Reboot: Modernizes and brings new life to a beloved series, attracting new audiences. That would be interesting but if TT Games went and done a completely remake from the ground up they would have to build the game from the ground up level design hub world 🌍 design character design and hub world 🌍 too. A remake is a game recreated with new assets, resulting in significant changes to graphics, gameplay, and sometimes story. This process essentially breathes new life into an older game, making it more appealing to contemporary audiences. This process takes advantage of technological advancements to give an older game a modern feel, enhancing its graphical fidelity and gameplay mechanics. "Sword of Mana" is a classic example of a video game remake. It was rebuilt from scratch, faithfully recreating the original while enhancing graphics and gameplay. Similarly, the Secret of Mana remake stayed true to the original game's graphics and map design but received mixed reception due to changes in gameplay. Another example of an exciting remake is the remake of Resident Evil 2. This beloved survival horror game was given a fantastic makeover, injecting new life into the chilling storyline and terrifying gameplay. With enhanced graphics, revamped controls, and even scarier zombies, players were able to relive the spine-tingling experience of the original game in a whole new way. The remake received high praise for its faithful recreation of the iconic Raccoon City and its intense atmosphere. It's a perfect example of how a remake can breathe fresh excitement into a classic title. If lego dimensions came back it would fall into a reboot A reboot is a game recreated with a new story in a new universe, often with significant changes to gameplay mechanics and character design. It aims to refresh the franchise and attract new players while still maintaining some familiar elements. This represents a more radical reinvention of the game, often offering a fundamentally different experience from the original. Imagine a world where iconic characters and familiar gameplay mechanics are reimagined in a fresh and innovative way. That's exactly what a reboot aims to achieve. It's a chance for developers to flex their creative muscles and explore uncharted territories within a well-established universe. which means every single developer would work the whole thing just like lego Star Wars the skywalker saga from the ground up character design hub world design and even level design too. And same thing for year 1-2 and wave 1-9 and story level team and fun pack and it has to include every character from every hub world not 7 characters and no lock it needs to be unclock for every character from every hub world 🌍-Luke.

Ngl I wish we had more Paramount characters in LEGO Dimensions like TMNT & Truman show
I blame Mega Contrux for the lack of Ninja Turtles.
TMNT were also gonna be in before MEGA scooped the license from LEGO.
