Good vid, I bought one of these a month or so ago for £117 used and it was in good condition but they had sent the wrong remote so I sent it back because they would not send me the correct one, that was CEX UK. I looked around for a cheap 65 inch tv, but for £400-£500 you don't get much for your money and it is difficult if you want to move to different rooms. So I happened to check Amazon UK yesterday and Artlii have dropped the price on Amazon Uk from £249 to £204. So I bought one and am awaiting delivery today. I have already bought a large reflective screen for it and will be making a frame for the screen. Although just projected on to a wall gives an impressive picture. I had the previous one sitting about 68 inches from the wall and that gave me 80 inch screen, mind blowing to think what you can get for £204. Keep producing the great vids
I was just looking at this projector since there’s a good deal on it right now and boom here goes RUclips suggesting your video . Thank you for such an awesome thorough review 🙏🏽
Wow the video quality and editing on this video is brilliant. Very professional production as well, you did a particularly good job when showinng the distance / screen sizes as it went from shot to shot at the same angle to give a true comparison. There are so many channels that are getting sent Sony PS5's and xbox's etc.. to do unboxings and they aren't even remotely on your level!
I picked up one of these for $200 USD on a Black Friday deal. It was OK. It will not suffice for a video purist. It is a long throw projector with no zoom that I could find. If it had an optical zoom I might have kept it. The ideal situation for the pj would be a ceiling or rear shelf mount using a Roku or similar into the HDMI port with Bluetooth sound out. It would be a good candidate for an inexpensive outdoor movie night experience as well rather than hauling out your expensive HT pj.
Hey Andy got to say that I’m really impressed with the high quality of your video and the way you go about presenting the products ! One more critique point that you could add to the projector reviews is the fan noise as some projector may have superb quality but they have loud fans that makes the experience really annoying especially during quite parts of films. Also if you can take a look at the “Crosstour Portable Pocket LED Projector Supports Full HD” it’s a similar small projector to the one that you reviewed, I think it’s also cheaper and more or less has the same specs it would be awesome if you would do a comparison 😁
What i always turns me off from those cheap LCD projectors is the fact that they are not sealed, the LCD panels are not sealed which means dust will get in over time. Dust particles behind the lenses and panels making it worthless because you will see the black dots in the image.
This projector is identical to the VAMVO 6200. I don't mean that it's pretty similar, I mean it is the same machine and someone else put their name on it.
This kind of projector are cheap so you get what you pay for. Two things important, this projector has no horizontal keystone so you have to align it to your screen/wall (you can’t place it aside) and finally be careful with the lux or lumens number there are much lower in reality. Also sharing a video on wifi is lagging and you can hear the fan of the machine.
Is this the best native 1080p home projector on the market at the moment? I'm looking to purchase one over the next few week, please recommend your top three.
Great thanks, I think I ll grab one today ,but im wondering if it will project nice if I ll set it from left at 20 ° angle at 2.8 m distance? Thank you
Hello? Thanks for the review. I am willing to buy it but I want to make sure it would work in my country. Does it support 220votage? I live in South Korea. Thanks
If i connect my phone with a lead into the projector (with an HMDI adapter lead) will the projector allow me to use and watch the Netflix app? as the IOS CAST wont allow Netflix.
All the reviews on this (or any Chinese projector) and no one ever comments on BLACK LEVELS! I assume it’s just average for dark movie scenes?? If anyone care to comment,it’s appreciated
I declare that I am not an expert in video projection and therefore I do not have a lot of benchmarks. My judgment is therefore mainly based on my few personal skills and impressions. But the quality is really on the verge of mediocrity. To begin with: attempting to change the brightness and contrast results in immediate and noticeable degradation of the image. Both should therefore be set to "50" and never be touched again, to avoid loss of color information and detail in highlights. We then realize that the sharpness value of the images is too high: the texts and outlines of the figures are "reinforced" by a black thickness which serves to give the impression of greater detail. Therefore, if you want to get a "clean" image, the sharpness should be reduced to at least 20. The result is a flat, low contrast image with a bluish cast. As long as it is particularly compressed content (like any Netflix movie) or without too much shades of dark colors (like cartoons), the quality is more than acceptable. But some color tones simply cannot be reproduced by this VP. "The Last of Us 2", full of blacks and shades of gray, looks like a giant dark spot. And besides, but it was surely my mistake, there is no optical zoom, only digital. Which is practically unnecessary. Indeed, even by scaling the size of the image towards zero, the projected area obviously remains the same. Consequently, the more you decrease the zoom value, the more the resolution of the image decreases. Likewise keystone correction is unnecessary: as soon as you touch it, the upper and lower extremities become extremely blurry. The only way to take advantage of the (already low) definition of the projector is to place it perpendicular to a wall, at the appropriate height, and never move it again. Rather sturdy and difficult to use focus ring. Discreet Audio: The projector is quite loud, but the audio covers enough hum. Nothing fancy, but still usable. If the colorimetry and contrast were slightly better, and the definition worthy of full HD, I wouldn't have anything to say. But seeing high definition content that looks like 540p on this projector really hurts. Despite the low price. The only really positive thing I can say: excellent input lag and bluetooth functions! P.S: Don't be fooled by tests that use 4K images to check image quality. It is not with those that should be tested.
I agree contrast is a bit low but saying hd looks like 540p would be an exaggeration and would sound like I have something against chinese products. They've clearly mentioned the contrast ratio as 3000:1 but you still bought it. What were you expecting? The display has 1920x1080 pixels so there's no lie there. Expecting results of a $600 projector from a $200 projector isn't fair anyway. If it hurts so much, why don't you pay a little more and get something better?
