I have been watching Larry Trocha videos for many years and he is always right on with his advice. His videos helped me to make a living for many years in the horse training business. Thank you for all of your help through the years.
I think it's fantastic that you share your insights on tack and equipment in addition to your training techniques! So many problems caused by people either using wrong equipment, or using equipment wrong... These videos you make are really valuable!!
Great information Larry, you are always my first stop when getting reacquainted with the variables necessary for proper saddle fit for the horse and the rider.
Wow! Thanks so much for all of the wonderful info. I really learned a lot about what kind of saddle I need,. I had no idea that there was so much to consider, but it makes sense to me now.
Larry, superb info. As I am listening to this I am hoping that the Cleburne saddle I just purchased (has not arrived yet) is all that you have described. I will be saving this and going over with saddle at side and hopefully not having to purchase another. Thanks.
The reining saddle (being as I ride reiners) is beautiful! It looks familiar to a Billy Cook saddle I've been looking at! I don't know anything about cutting, but it's a really nice saddle too! AWESOME EXPLANATION BY THE WAY! Thank you!
Hi hoSSluvrz, Yes, I've ridden one of those and the seat is way up off the horse. Check out the website address shown at the end of part 2. Check out the saddles listed on that site. I personally own one and can highly recommend it. Take care, Larry T.
Hi Larry, yes I think we'll be there. BTW Don was chuckling at your story about riding that lady's horse in that poor saddle; he has also been in that situation many times! See you in Oct. --Jessie
I'm interested in finding an appropriate reining saddle and this video is very helpful in pointing out what I need to look for! Perfect illustrations and explanations. Thanks!
Good to hear from you, Mike. The trees are made of wood and covered with fiberglass. For the life of me, I can't remember the tree maker's name. Maybe my friends are right, "I might be losing it" =o) Take care, Larry T.
nalogirl Very clear-all of your dvd`s are very clear. This one really shows the differences up close and personel Who makes Arab round skirted, short backed cutting saddles ,with the configuration for cutting? Thanks diana
Larry - we just purchased a cutting horse and need a saddle. We don't have one that even fits her now she's so much smaller than my other horses. What is the manufacturer where I can look for one? Your video is great I must say.
Hi, I really like your videos and i'm learning alot from them. I plan on getting into reining, cutting, team roping and sorting. Because I'm low on cash and don't want to spend as much money as I have to, Iwas jsut wondering if theres a saddle that would be suitible for all of those event? Thank you:) -Charlotte
Charlotte Gagnon you can do everything you listed except for roping in a cutting saddle, or you can look into a ranch cutter- extremely versatile saddle but expensive.
Hi ReinerJunkie, I'm keeping my fingers crossed =o) Seriously though, I'll be suprised if Jim's saddle won't work. I've tried all the brands of saddles you mentioned and they didn't work for me either. All the best to you. Larry T.
Those saddles were custom designed and made so you can’t just go buy a saddle like that. I do have batches of these kinds of saddles specially made several times a year by FiveStarSaddles dot com. They sell out fast. Make sure you are on my mailing list to be notified when the next batch of saddles are available. I have the luxury to spend over a year in a good saddlery. And poeple as no idea how much a good saddle is important. I did repair many saddle that I wouldn't put my ass one it , because they where so dangerously made. Saddly I had to quite my job, because I got tire to be the pushing bag of the frustrated wife and can't effor to move or pay someone to keep learnning :(
