Survived the beirut blast since I was about 2 kilometers away, working just like any normal day, but the shock and the pain doesn’t go away. Indescribable experience, my coworkers and I got out with minor injuries, but we saw it in each other’s eyes that we were eternally traumatized. The worst part is having to live with the fact that tomorrow is never promised. RIP Lebanon.

Shocking thing is, this blast was only 1/20th of the magnitude of what was dropped on Hiroshima. Just to put that into perspective. Then to take it a step further, the tsar bomb is 1570 times more powerful than the Hiroshima bomb. Horrendous.

Lebanon’s suffering continues, 300,000 people are now displaced, there is a shortage of some products, only 2 hours electricity out of 24 hours. On top of this they gave previous issues that they’ve been protesting for YEARS, the economic issues, they’ve been through 2 wars and they’re dealing with coronavirus on top, some people don’t see any hope for the future, many people won’t make it, may Lebanon get through this. I can’t see my country like this.
