I got stuck in to learning that skill last night. Got past that "Cant start" slump and its going pretty good though I keep making mistakes. So I am back up to maybe 75-80/100
I think that person wants an outside traffic company to come in because they could have a friend or family member in the company and they want a paid day for themselves

Hi Olly. I run a charity event which has been handed down over many years, I don’t want to say too much on here but it’s usually around the 5th November. Our local council have forced us to use a Traffic Management Company and they made us use a specific one. They are very expensive, and provide little value. If you want to reach out to chat it over I’d be happy to help.

Just an 'add on' to previous message. As it stands at the moment, you have enough bales to create an arena and basic seating. It may be possible at the end of next season? Further to participation; I enjoy watching stuff on RUclips about pigeon shooting but it's not the same as actually doing it. I think a lot of people would love to get 'hands on' with a lot of the farming aspects.
We used to do the local carnivals there were literally loads of tractors and trailers all lit up and the public loved it then a Trailer hit a lady at one event in Essex and died and from then on the Insurance companies said we werent covered for Carnivals anymore and it killed the buzz of it all

Would it be worth reaching out to your Nfu agent and seeing if they have any traffic management companies on the books that they could reach out to and see if they would look to support the tractor run? Or maybe someone will see the video and reach out to you
What happened about digging a holding pond in the field before the pump? Why is it that the moment someone sees you doing something for good they put a obstacle in your way , don’t let them win
The costs of EA putting steps in will be astronomical. Last couple of years Network Rail have been "stabilising" cuttings and embankments next door. Put in 100m of pilings and then had to put a fence along the top for H&S, even though the railways fenced off! Not moaning, I have done very, very well out of access payments
Don’t mention network rail maybe his rant about RMT members was what got 1 of them to put in a call you no what goes around comes around health & safety is why trains can’t go driver only just saying😬
My local tractor run had gaps in the line, they wasn’t number so didn’t know when end was, I was at good point so some went wrong way, and some was near end but they was still something though where I parked my wheelchair, I did email the person in charge and did recommend maybe getting the police involved so we get all the tractors through at the same time rather than having gaps

We had a yearly Local event that was cancelled due to the Policing costs and Health and safety Bull###t. You can always count on the one person too screw things up. People are Hungry but there is always someone that has to make a Profit.

I feel there is more to why someone wasn't to happy about the event, hopefully can get to the bottom of it and then you can fix it if indeed there some sort of issue. I think defiantly should chase this up and avoid the extra costs if able, also might be worth getting the quotes in now and a possible sponsorship deal now rather than later at least then you know where everyone stands.
Needing TM will be hugely problematic given the length of your route and the number of junctions / lights you pass through I have to do it for ground investigation works from time to time and its a costly pain so I really hope you can get something more sensible sorted. I'd wager those EA steps and sign will have cost about 18k given works I've done for them. Im about 90% right now :)
