We use that to lift our steering wheel off to fit my auto steer system. Modern steering wheels are pretty rubbery so spent ages trying to get it to come off… my sveaverken fitting video shows me using it!
33 years ago I worked for a Horticultural Nursery company that had bought a wood chipper ( tiny compared to your monster) at 27 hours a Lump hammer 🔨 went through it. Major damage to bearings. Two months later the Diesel engine died , thankfully it was still under warranty.

My old man works ans an arbourist and he will attest to chippers and mulchers going down regularly.. Like you were saying, it really doesn't matter if its new or old, they will most certainly have to deal with all manner of foreign objects.. Every week at least 1 knife has to be replaced on something.. Its the wear and tear parts.. A new one is going to be exactly the same.. Its either something gives or the machines going to be a write off pretty quickly..

Really enjoy the Birthday Bumper, as much as the rest of your fantastic videos. Such a shame, that some people jump it Another idea is to possibly in the summer put the birthday names on the grain trailer tailgates, for all to see whilst driving along the road for a bit of fun, or other uses during the winter months. This may brighten a few more people's days up!!!

Hey Olly! Hands up, I was skipping the BB part so you got me....at least I'm admitting guilt more than most.
The farm machinery v diversification machinery explanation was a good bit of info.
The adblue and cattle warning was good mate, that stuff needs more than just a rinse to get rid of it, I used an ex adblue can for screen wash once....now that was interesting.

Its a bearing pullers. You mentioned ADBLUE I know of a plaster used a full IBC for mixing thought it was water, then refilled the IBC with water which all site machines used. Some mess🤨🤨

Thats a bearing puller, the wedge shape is for sliding between a bearing and a plate, you tighten the bolts on the side to slide between the bearing and the plate, very handy to have.

I swapped the wide angle mirror to the top on the merlo makes it far more useful! How reliable have your merlos been I'm fed up of ours going wrong hub seals and random not starting.
Think only ever had one hub seal in 25 years of them and

What size screens do you run on the chipper?
I can attest to the doesn't matter what age the machine when you catch a sledge hammer or a pick axe it doesn't matter if it's brand new or 20 years old, you're very lucky if you walk away without any broken parts. I ran both and some in between and chippers and hard chunks of steel don't mix...

Sad for the dead cows!! They must have really suffered!! I put some adblue on my dirty patio. Killed all the moss and black mold etc. Would not fancy it in my stomach!!

Still guilty 😀. Bearing puller, we use similar for pulling bearings off hubs and out of sleeves on helicopter rotor heads. Interesting justification for the new combine and retention of the current chipper.

Seeing your bit on the wheat with to much chaff got me to thinking that the corn merchants who paid over £300 ton for wheat and have not picked it up yet will be finding ways to get out of paying that price they'd bought it for with the current price being so low.
