my dad just got his windshield replaced and he paid 700 out of pocket. (he didn't have insurance because his previous car windshield replacement was cheap, but he got a different car now).
the lady was nice and said "just come back tomorrow and get your insurance today, so its only 120.." or however much.. and he said he wouldn't do it because of the principal. and he got the insurance only after he paid.
