Renaud Garcia Fons / Life Ahead

With this new project, Renaud Garcia-Fons leaves the Mediterranean and Hispanic sphere for his city, Paris. Throughout the original compositions, this imaginary wandering juxtaposes the melodic charm of the Paris of his childhood and the cosmopolitan and hectic Paris of today. Musical genres combine: musette, song, jazz, classical writing, current grooves, like a film that goes from black and white to color.
To survey the bitumen that has given way to the Parisian pavement, it was necessary to bring together, around the singing and resolutely melodic double bass of Renaud Garcia-Fons, two instrumentalists who are both poets and virtuosos, David Venitucci and Stephan Caracci, experienced in all styles and whose sonorities, the accordion and the vibraphone, are able to serve all the contrasts of tradition to modern jazz.
