I just did this and it worked, I was at the local autozone when this happen, Bought some WD-40 and few minutes of struggle and playing with ignition switch I manage to insert key fully and turn switch. Thank you 🙏
I ended up fixing it by removing the cylinder and removing the damaged wafers that were sticking out, very common with hondas, I watched a RUclips video about it

Took 8min & 10 sec to say "Try WD40"! Appeared to solve the issue in the video, but did not help with my issue.

It I let you tune the key to start it is the question
At some point the key won't easily enter into the ignition.
