- Clemson University student Joe Bailey Jr. sustained a paralyzing spinal cord injury in a diving accident during spring break 2016. Now, he urges people not to dive to avoid devastating injury. He is undergoing rehabilitation at Shepherd Center in Atlanta.

I REMEMBER DIVING HEAD FIRST FROM 20 FEET, FELT LIKE A CONCRETE BLOCK HIT ME IN THE HEAD, THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I DID THAT, FEET FIRST ONLY AND NOT TOO HIGH
