Honestly, do they have to put Iron Heart in the MCU? In my opinion, she doesn't bring in anything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, other than the writers wanted more female characters, and just because she was in the comics, it doesn't mean they have to put her in the MCU. After, all the writers did some changes in their universe that's a lot different in the comics. Rather than bringing in more random characters that have no connection to the Avengers, than being saved by one of them or wanting to be like them, just like Kate Bishops in Hawkeye, because she has no place in the MCU. Also, just like Kate Bishops, if anyone who deserves to become the next Iron Man is his daughter or his protégé Spider-Man. Not another random fangirl who wants to be their favorite hero. I mean, we already have Kate Bishops and Mrs. Marvel (is going to show up). I do not want to see another random fangirl who wants to be a hero. That has no connection to anything. Other than some lame excuse that she was in the comics. So they have to put her in the MCU. Also, for some reason, some people hate her. I really love the idea of Iron Heart. Some aspects of execution were less than great but she’s a great character and I definitely see her coming to the MCU. If they wanna give her a familial link, they could make her Rhodey’s niece or something. Idk, just a thought. I just wanna see this character in live-action and done right and I want Marsai Martin to play her.

I am so glad this channel exists. I've just about had it with channels and comments from people who conveniently forget how many characters they've given a pass, only to get triggered when certain types of people do the same thing...and then lie about _why_ they're triggered.
I hadn't really heard much about Riri ever since her introductory comic run and just today went ahead and bought her 2020 tie in run to Iron Man 2020. It's definitely nice to now know what happened in between those two stories, even if it's just the broad strokes. And I gotta say, I really like her new armor design and would definitely be interested in finding out how she's gonna work around not legally being allowed to do her hero work.
Dude, honestly I first heard about this character mostly due to the fact that a lotta incels were getting triggered about her hving a Disney+ series but HONESTLY this character doesn’t seem like a bad character at all and I think would be a rlly interesting member of the MCU. Well, wouldn't it be a great setup if back in civil war, when Tony funded all those student's projects, that she was apart of that. Hmmmmmmm.... I think Shuri would be the more skilled fighter. She's had way more experience and far more advanced tech backing her up. I'd say for the categories I say for intelligence Riri 9, Shuri 10, but different aspects of intelligence. Riri is more of a scientific mind. Shuri is more of a tactician. For fighting, Riri 7, Shuri 9. Shuri has solo'd Proxima Midnight, she didn't win but she held her own. As for tech, I believe that is where Riri gets the edge. Riri 10, Shuri 7. Shuri is not as much of an inventor in the comics as she is in the movies. She's more of shaman these days.

Him--yeah I watched the video they mention her getting beat by thanos but funny thing is that they conveniently left out how she was such a selfish leader that she picked the fight with thanos and she almost got her team killed on purpose and to add insult to injury she played the victim in following issues
I think it was during the phase of Marvel basically replacing every character with someone else and just expecting us to like it. Most of those channels were bitching about that and I kind of agree with some of them. X-23 and Wolverine female Thor then Riri Williams potentially becoming a new Iron Man is basically what everybody saw coming. I don't think people were literally upset about her stealing armor I think they meant to the concept of and the child prodigy Miss is making a set of armor out of Tony Stark's equipment just the idea of the character lol

I would like to add... working in hospitals for 30 years, I met many single mom of many different ethnicities that were like Ronnie, including single white moms. :) if the dad isn’t involved, then the mom wears both hats. Same thing with a few single dads I met (including one being my best friend) wear both hats. In conclusion, ethnicity has nothing to do with a mom being tough and strong figure; Or a physically strong dad being gentle and loving.
I just wish we could get a completely original black top tier hero besides Black Panther and Luke Cage. It just seems like every black hero is a some type of reboot and I find that to be very lazy.
Riri is my home slice. I remember holding off on her because of all the hate she got, but then read her intro and first few issues... and was like "Seriously??? What is wrong with this???"
Yeah i don't get all the hate and most blowing it all out of proportion. Yes she's not really well written most of the time but that's not the characters fault and most just don't get the trauma she's gone through and with how her mind works she is doing this to cope with her loss.
You know, I think the misplaced hate comes from the first announcements, when she was first introduced Tony had just died, just like peter did (Miles Ultimate Run). So when the legacy characters take the mantle hard core fans get offended. For example I grew up in the Wally West era so...it was took a bit of readjusting to get used to Bart & then subsequently Barry to return to cowl. So it took a long time for me to realize that Wally was my Flash all along. And the only reason I really knew Barry was because of old comics and the original TV show with John Wesley Shipp.

Her backstory is literally "I became a super hero by copying Stark Tech to spite my first grade teacher". She knows she isn't one, she has more villain traits than hero if you read carefully. You think the juxtaposition with her and Infamous Iron Man on cover of #9 issue is a mistake? I do not. In her own #9 issue she takes over a sovereign nation. If you want to argue for her "hero-dom" you have to at least admit she is a sociopath to try and excuse her actions.
No, its her establishing her engineering skills because she wanted to emulate the life of the first black female astronaut she was inspired from, when her father and best friend died she literally asked why it couldn't be her that died. Also the nation was called latveria and she said she was the queen of it from the heat of the battle. When shield told her to leave she refused because of not wanting to abandon the nation that was in ruin even more so after dr doom left, she even had a list of demands, stopped shield and the citizens that were angry from being mistreated from killing each other, yea man she sounds like a REAL SOCIOPATH, look at her total disregard for people right?. Did you even read the comic or are you that pressed on trying to prove this character is shit by giving half truths and blatantly getting stuff incorrect?

Writer obviously felt like it was needed because there were so many pages dedicated to the conversation.

She holds up a picture of the first African American female astronaut, she read about her life and was inspired by the fact that they told her she couldn't do it and she did it. She looks at the picture for a lil bit of time after the teacher basically told her that nobody is going to challenge her like the person she was inspired by because times are different. I really don't see how someone could interpret that as her wanting to be oppressed or trying to be unless they already had preconceived conceptions about the character. Clearly this a literal child that wants to emulate the life of someone they were inspired by, NOT by being oppressed but by proving people wrong hence why as soon as the teacher said "you'll never be like tony stark" she then does a "challenge accepted" kind of smirk and gets to work. I am so glad this channel exists. I've just about had it with channels and comments from people who conveniently forget how many characters they've given a pass, only to get triggered when certain types of people do the same thing...and then lie about _why_ they're triggered.

I hadn't really heard much about Riri ever since her introductory comic run and just today went ahead and bought her 2020 tie in run to Iron Man 2020.
It's definitely nice to now know what happened in between those two stories, even if it's just the broad strokes.
And I gotta say, I really like her new armor design and would definitely be interested in finding out how she's gonna work around not legally being allowed to do her hero work.
Dude, honestly I first heard about this character mostly due to the fact that a lotta incels were getting triggered about her hving a Disney+ series but HONESTLY this character doesn’t seem like a bad character at all and I think would be a rlly interesting member of the MCU. I just hope the series does her character and her backstory justice cause honestly, even tho I’m not a huge superhero fan, she seems like a cool character.

Everyone's talking about getting a MCU ironheart and how that would be cool. Well, wouldn't it be a great setup if back in civil war, when Tony funded all those student's projects, that she was apart of that. It would make sense due to her idolizing of Tony and would explain a way for her to make her suit. That scene could be the greatest setup for characters in the future.
Of all the people who have a connection to Tony Stark, they had to go with someone who has the littlest connection to him as his successor. If I were in charge of the company, I would go with someone like his best friend, his wife, his daughter, or his protege, any one of those people would be a better hero and worthy successor than Riri would be. Who's nothing more than some petty thief who steals something that was never hers, to begin with, nor has she ever earned it, will also try to seek attention, hog up the spotlight, and act like she is better than everyone, just like a spoiled brat.
Can't wait for iron man's daughter cause she's probably the only one worthy of the mantle.

Hmmmmmmm.... I think Shuri would be the more skilled fighter. She's had way more experience and far more advanced tech backing her up. I'd say for the categories I say for intelligence Riri 9, Shuri 10, but different aspects of intelligence. Riri is more of a scientific mind. Shuri is more of a tactician. For fighting, Riri 7, Shuri 9. Shuri has solo'd Proxima Midnight, she didn't win but she held her own. As for tech, I believe that is where Riri gets the edge. Riri 10, Shuri 7. Shuri is not as much of an inventor in the comics as she is in the movies. She's more of shaman these days.

I think it was during the phase of Marvel basically replacing every character with someone else and just expecting us to like it. Most of those channels were bitching about that and I kind of agree with some of them. X-23 and Wolverine female Thor then Riri Williams potentially becoming a new Iron Man is basically what everybody saw coming. I don't think people were literally upset about her stealing armor I think they meant to the concept of and the child prodigy Miss is making a set of armor out of Tony Stark's equipment just the idea of the character lol

This video is really good. I would like to add... working in hospitals for 30 years, I met many single mom of many different ethnicities that were like Ronnie, including single white moms. :) if the dad isn’t involved, then the mom wears both hats. Same thing with a few single dads I met (including one being my best friend) wear both hats.
In conclusion, ethnicity has nothing to do with a mom being tough and strong figure; Or a physically strong dad being gentle and loving.
I keep telling people Ironheart needs to take over the Ironman role in the MCU.

You know, I think the misplaced hate comes from the first announcements, when she was first introduced Tony had just died, just like peter did (Miles Ultimate Run). So when the legacy characters take the mantle hard core fans get offended. For example I grew up in the Wally West era so...it was took a bit of readjusting to get used to Bart & then subsequently Barry to return to cowl. Heck I even enjoyed when Dick took over as batman after battle of the cowl , but each their own. I really enjoyed this and all of your videos Ernie, keep up the great work.
I don't think you're wrong. I detect zero lies in this comment. I feel the same way in a lot of regards. I kind of grew up in that weird transition period between Barry and Wally. So it took a long time for me to realize that Wally was my Flash all along. And the only reason I really knew Barry was because of old comics and the original TV show with John Wesley Shipp.

Her backstory is literally "I became a super hero by copying Stark Tech to spite my first grade teacher". She knows she isn't one, she has more villain traits than hero if you read carefully. You think the juxtaposition with her and Infamous Iron Man on cover of #9 issue is a mistake? I do not. In her own #9 issue she takes over a sovereign nation. If you want to argue for her "hero-dom" you have to at least admit she is a sociopath to try and excuse her actions.
No, its her establishing her engineering skills because she wanted to emulate the life of the first black female astronaut she was inspired from, when her father and best friend died she literally asked why it couldn't be her that died. Also the nation was called latveria and she said she was the queen of it from the heat of the battle. When shield told her to leave she refused because of not wanting to abandon the nation that was in ruin even more so after dr doom left, she even had a list of demands, stopped shield and the citizens that were angry from being mistreated from killing each other, yea man she sounds like a REAL SOCIOPATH, look at her total disregard for people right?. Did you even read the comic or are you that pressed on trying to prove this character is shit by giving half truths and blatantly getting stuff incorrect?

Writer obviously felt like it was needed because there were so many pages dedicated to the conversation.

She holds up a picture of the first African American female astronaut, she read about her life and was inspired by the fact that they told her she couldn't do it and she did it. She looks at the picture for a lil bit of time after the teacher basically told her that nobody is going to challenge her like the person she was inspired by because times are different. I really don't see how someone could interpret that as her wanting to be oppressed or trying to be unless they already had preconceived conceptions about the character. Clearly this a literal child that wants to emulate the life of someone they were inspired by, NOT by being oppressed but by proving people wrong hence why as soon as the teacher said "you'll never be like tony stark" she then does a "challenge accepted" kind of smirk and gets to work. I don't know what pages you're referring to but I don't recall them at all. I don't know what you've been told about this character or what you've read but you got it all wrong.

Then that also would explain very well why she very well could have gotten her hands on not one but many of Tony starks suits and it would also be understandable why she can make alters and make adjustment to the suits by herself. Her intelligence and MILITARY Future are she could have been in ROTC are a military school being the fact that her dad are uncle James Rhodes who she looked up too & loved so much, gave her plenty of training. Being the fact she a highly smart genius, she still could have went to college at a young age are a mechanic freak, Skip school, sassy, and always going around her dad James are Uncle and some one to pesturize her Godfather Tony Starks heart. Be that pestilence but that apple in the eye at the same time. I'm just saying makes sense to me. And get this, she still can have the same mother. Matter fact the same story just add James Rhodes as the uncle. Ironheart is one of my favorite characters in Marvel Universe, in fact I just done drawing her recently, along with Batman Beyond, and their predecessors, Batman and Iron Man.
I was up all night though.
Her debut series with Brian Michael Bendis was not good to me at all. However her own series Iron Heart by irie Williams is on point! I feel like she has a good handle on the character
I enjoyed both, but I can maybe understand why you feel that way. I do enjoy Ewing's work with her much more though
