here bc Pete mentioned the gig in his biography. am both heartbroken and shivering seeing this while waiting for the new album at the end of 2023. dudes really got legendary stories.
Fantastic clip of a legendary moment. Did the audience know that Carl would be playing? Hard to tell if they scream out of surprise or just pure happiness.
Actor now. Pete's in and out of rehab, still occasionally uses, has gained an insane amout of weight. For someone that's 6'4 that's pretty huge. I think there will always be this unspoken "competetion" between the two that creates this tension. Whilst the hearts souls and minds of those whom hold these two to such high esteem do not realize nor see this. So occassionally they'll throw the kids a gig to sut them up becuase the pressure to "reunite" is always there. however the pain of growing
older will never go away. It's unfair to them to expect them to perform with the same gusto as "the good ol' days". It hurts me to be this blunt. It really does. I know and realize that they are hailed as the genx-y's Lennon and McCartney, but fuck maybe that's just way to much pressure, you know?
You can even see the akwardness between them. It's really subtle. they even try to over sing/do eachother at one point. It's really sad because they could have both just had a private proper heart to heart sit down and just sort it out before all of these "reunion" shows, that way it can be done with their hearts in it w/o all of the residual baggage from 2002-2003 ish.Something tells me they haven't delt with it proper. Now we're into 2013. Carl's married with children and seem to want to be an
They really dont seem to be into it. They just seem to be into it for the kids. thowing them a bone. you know. they're even rushing through it w/o any emotion. It saddens me to watch This cause it appears to me that they've grown and changed so much that "The good old days" are now gone. The'll never play on stage together with the same passion as they did in 2004. It's just the facts.
