I hate i caught this so late. Im less than an hour in and i love everyone there....and am now filled with dread.... Edit: Oh my God Vincent and Jake/Ben....some of the best RP I've seen!!!
So this whole thing is amazing, you guys really embody the spirit of the Xenoverse, the campaign is gripping, the characters are multi-layered and interesting and Chelsea does an amazing job as GM. I haven't had the chance to play the game myself yet but now I have a mighty need and a new amazing roleplay to watch, thank you! :D
Honestly, that means the world to cast and I. All we want to do is tell good stories that are enjoyed by other people, and encourage people play TTRPGs, and venture into TTRPGs that aren't your typical D&D game.

Here's how Bardan is going to go out: Once things get underway, and the gang has retreated to a room, they all begin to panic and talk about how hopeless it is. After the other bicker, Bardan pipes up sounding more confident and sane than ever before. And he says something like "No, we can do this. Don't you see where we are?" *he points to some device and walks over to it, patting it with his hand* "I have a plan. With this--" and then a Xenomorph drops from the ceiling, crushing both Bardan and the device.
My RPG group is going into a custom made campaign soon in Alien after we finish with the premade campaigns and I was planning on playing a Kid because it’s different. I got a tip about this series because there’s a kid in it but I didn’t expect to enjoy all of it as much as I have, and I’m not even done with this video yet.

Hey guys I have recently got the start kit off of free league and I'm almost ready to start my first session but as you probably no the pilot Davis has this game mechanic called "drug use" and it isn't in the condensed rulebook you get with the starter kit I have picked up the full rull book from my retailers but I still can't find where the mechenic "drug use" is in the rule book at all can you please tell me what page it is in the rulebook or can you possibly give me a in detail overview of how the mechenic works its the only thing I'm not 100% sure works and it's holding me up from starting my first game session please please help me
@@unMadeGamingPlays I second this by saying there's a section in the book on PG.137 that covers Pharmaceuticals. That's more of a listing and does include recreational drugs as well.
So i missed something or didnt understand, they went to the radiated zone, but not wearing any protective suits...? ALSO GM speaks about ship? What ship, they are on icy planet.. i am confused. Like that one quard started spitting blood so fast when they first time entered to the zone and when players entered to radiared zone, no one was spitting blood because of the radiation?
I... have a problem with what I'm witnessing, here. I'm seeing four people trying to take part in a group RPG being stonewalled by one guy constantly hogging the limelight. He really, really needs to rein it in.
@@unMadeGamingPlays Ax Bardan. Too long talking, too loud talking. Lots of take and too little give with the other role-players. To be fair, he seemed to get better after awhile, and I am sure this was a learning experience for everyone, him included. I do not consider him to be a bad person. But if I were doing an improv class with him, I would probably have gotten annoyed with him, and asked him to rein it in for the others.
Let me also clarify: The purpose of this video was obviously to have fun amongst yourselves and maybe entertain others. If you had fun, that is what matters, more than anything else- including criticisms from a guy like me, who approached this not as a game amongst friends but as an improv critic. Please, PLEASE do not let my words drive any one of you- including Ax- from doing this again. I happen to like these videos, and look forward to more of them- including more with him.
Hahahahaha I KNEW you were talking about Bardan. I'm actually that player, Bardan is my character. There are a lot of factors here: 1. We ARE having fun. 2. This is a show for entertainment purposes. 3. This was the first episode, so we were still feeling these characters out. 4. You kind of adjust to Bardan... That is the character, he's abrasive, loud, and spent too long with no one listening to him so now he just shouts opinions. 5. Bardan becomes a fan favorite... keep watching :D
First of all, maybe start it and find out for yourself? Second of all, the Alien franchise is Sci-Fi first, Horror/Action second, and realistically if you remove the jump scares, the franchise is barely horror at all. That being said, our Game Mother is an exceptional storyteller who artfully wove the lore from the movies directly into this amazing game and we all felt like we were playing in a Alien spin-off.
She's incredible. All the players really are too. I'm very impressed with everyone. I was just coming here from the WebDM plays channel where they were doing a 2-shot and the GM made very little effort to set the mood. I was looking specifically for a live play where someone tried to make it a bit spooky and was hoping someone could tell me if this could be that before I sat though 2 hours or more. I could see how my question could have been read in a negative tone but I didn't mean it that way. I think I'm over an hour into the episode now and I like it.
Bravo for doing something original, but you really don't know how radiation and reactors work. Radiation is not contagious it does not spread around. Contamination of radiation emitting particles is what can be on clothes, etc. You can be irradiated by a source and not be radioactive yourself.

Jake could’ve chosen to push his roll 🎲, adding a point of stress in exchange for re-rolling any failed regular dice 🎲 results.
