@@therealgaben5527 It never capitulated because Japan never tried, and they didn't try because they didn't have to. Japan held onto the the coastline and never made any serious attempts at the interior. Operation Ichi-Go was just to gain control of the railroads away from the coast to avoid submarines.
@@alexrator7674 If the Japanese AI only sticks to China and never fights anyone else, they get to central China, then literally just sit there for eternity staring at Chinese troops unable to do anything. It just becomes an eternal stalemate because the AI almost never upgrades the ports, never builds supply hubs, and is incredibly stupid at prioritizing rail upgrades.
@@therealgaben5527 What kind of smooth brain logic is this? Why would a strategy game that strictly adheres to historical events be fun in this context? HOI4 is a game LITERALLY built around alternate history...
