It’s worth noting that Texas has played better when heavy underdogs in the past. They should’ve beat Alabama in 2022, beat them in 2023. They beat Georgia in the sugar bowl when no one thought they would. I’d argue they play worse when favored.
A, this isn't that TX team and 2, this year that defense has given up 27 pts a game against better competition (GA X2, ASU, Clemson) and none of those offenses are anywhere close to as dangerous as the rolling ball of butcher knives bearing down on Dallas from Columbus. Texas has to be perfect to stay in this game and they need OSU to take a step back from the performances against OR and TN to win.
@steveparish4209 So you basing this off 2 games. It's funny how people wasn't claiming that just 3 games ago. They struggled against Nebraska who's not even ranked. Texas allowed Clemson and Arizona to get back in the game, people forget Arizona didn't even score there 1st Touchdown until 6 minutes left of the 4th quarter with a bad throw from Ewers. Dang near the same against Clemson which was a decent team. If Texas play a complete game they will be hard to stop.
@dlux917 Watch and see. I do think OSU has to come back to the field a little but this team was built for these kinds of games. I think the key to watch will be which defense can make the opposing QB uncomfortable without blitzing. Both guys are good in the pocket when the play goes as scripted and both are prone to mistakes when they have to improvise. If one defense can get there without having to compromise coverage, they'll be hard to move the ball against.
@@steveparish4209 agreed. and against clemson/asu - texas defense gave up 1000 yards of offense. buckeyes, last 2 games have put up 1000 yards of offense. asu had ONE guy carve them up - skattebo. buckeyes, at any time, will have at least THREE guys on the field BETTER than him. i don't see them stopping the buckeyes. and how did an undersized ASU d-line shut down texas rungame??
I think it’s hard to count Texas out of this game especially when this ohio state team JUST started to play good… this game SHOULD go down to the wire and will probably be a very low scoring game. These are literally the best 2 defenses in the nation.
Ohio State did not "just start to play good", they blew out Indiana, beat PSU on the road, came one play away from beating Oregon on the road, and annihilated Iowa. Their defense allowed 0 passing touchdowns in 7 straight games between the Oregon matchups and they are giving up the fewest PPG in the country this entire season
Ohio st. Didn’t just start “playing good” they got a pie to the face, made fun of. Fans saying get coach GONE. Including me, these kids have something to play for! No questions asked and they are not playing to win my 1 td. They only coming to play 3 quarts
Ohio State has laid a few eggs this year. They are definitely favored but they need to play well. It’s not as one sided as some are making it to be. Ewers must play well for Texas to win a close game. Lots of factors involved. You never know
If Texas wins this will be by far their best win of the year. If Ohio State wins this will be their 3rd, maybe 4th best win of the year. Ohio State 34 Texas 17
guys, when it comes to: is player "A" as good as player "B"...............think of tom brady - 6th round draft pick that NOBODY was talking about in his last year in college. howard has the size and throws an accurate ball - i think it depends where he lands in the nfl to his success - will he have a chance to settle in or will a bad team draft him and feed him to the lions.
Lets be real. Texas hasnt played a complete game all year. They are, who we thought they are. Ohio State on the other end are playing their best ball now.
Teams don’t always play the same way. You can be great in one game, and horrible the next. Texas should and will play better than they did against asu. Not saying osu will play horrible, I expect them to show up but let’s not count out Texas
Guys, I love the hard work. But if you do the collectors cards next season, im dropping the show. That content needs to be reserved for a seperate show. I come to listen stats, opinions on player and teams, and other related things. If I wanted yo watch collectables talk, I would go to a channel who specializes in it. I come to you because of your analysts skills. Sorry. Thought id share because i feel like im not alone
Everyone said the same thing about CJ Stroud that Ari is saying about Will Howard. “He’s only good because of his receivers”

This season only: when have they been heavy underdogs and won?

Ohio state wins by 14 points
Talking about a team that doesn’t play defense (Miami) was weird.
Came outta nowhere and why he talking bout Miami.

Luckily we have a clutch kicker 😅

Nah. OSU, unfortunately for all of us, figured out how to use their offense after Michigan. If ND can't do it, I don't think anyone but OSU wins it

@@jonathandrlasancha4691”coming to play 3 quarters” 😂 wtf does that mean ? Was all good until that point then you lost me. 😅
buckeyes are playing great the last 2 games. wont be easy but i'm hoping my longhorns can pull out the win

I’m sorry the Ohio State boys gonna be crying for their mommy at the end of this game
Ok… And what are you going to say “if” Texas gets beat? If Texas wins, that means Ohio State imploded.
Sark talking to the kicker was all for show. He thought they had it won and wanted in on the kicker’s spotlight. Didn’t work out - Pride.
Let me guess....OSU is the best and Texas cant run the ball consistently. Did i get it right?
In a nutshell. These talking heads gonna pop tomorrow
Given the national narrative, you’d think Texas was a 17 point dog.
If Texas wins this will be by far their best win of the year.
If Ohio State wins this will be their 3rd, maybe 4th best win of the year.
Ohio State 34
Texas 17
texas 40 ohio 24 1 touchdown in trash time

I definitely wouldn’t count out Texas, and I’m a Buckeyes fan. Ohio State has to get the early momentum or Texas could win in a low scoring game.

Why play the game at all? Should Texas just forfeit now, or what?
Dude stop interrupting Ari it’s so annoying the guy can’t finish a thought
I’m rooting for UT to win this game so freaking hard. Also, there’s no way UT will this game. I am preemptively sad…
I won 13k on prize picks on Michigan/Alabama doing the exact opposite of everyone’s predictions 😂. The team that wins this game is scoring in the 20’s
Well go ahead and take Texas and the points. Good luck !
