Your video and a first morning coffee, a great way to start my day! I love orange blossom, so I need to try Mizensir Solar Blossom as soon as possible. One fragrance that never lets me down, summer or winter, day or night is Tom Ford's Soleil Neige. It is easily in my top 3 perfumes, and sometimes when I wear it, I feel like that is how I would love to smell all the time, forever.
@@TheTopNote I strongly recommend you try it, but please wait for the dry down, as the fragrance becomes beautiful after 20mins or so. In the opening is mostly citrus.💕
Wonderful list, Cherie. I’m loving your and Pep’s videos as an escape from reality. They make my day. I’ve fallen down the vintage rabbit hole lately as a diversion (from reality) and they are pretty cheap on eBay. Especially chypres with real oak moss. Believe it or not: vintage Lauren, Gloria Vanderbilt Glorious to name a few. I need to make a long list. In my opinion, current day niche quality at a steal.
👋 Cherie. For now, it would have to be Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de parfum by MFK, Vintage Chanel 5 EDP, Sticky Fingers by Francesca Bianchi, Honey Oud by Floris London and Ani by Nishane. Super safe fragrances that always work when I’m on the run and don’t have time to think about making choices.
For me, the perfumes that had never let me down includes Dior pure poison, Givenchy hot Couture and Tom Ford Santal blush, I just adore these perfumes and I found that I can definitely work with these perfumes on a lot of different occasions!
Sandalwood Tempel sounds amazing. I have very similar feelings for Milky Musk by Parle Moi de Parfum. Such a creamy, comforting sandalwood. Very simple but all the more beautiful.
I love orange blossom and have been wearing Solar Blossom constantly for the last few weeks. Other perfumes that never let me down include Chanel Beige, Angelique by Papillion and Confessions of a Garden Gnome by FM.
Great video! I've been sampling Sandlewood Temple and I love it! I'm definitely going to buy a full bottle soon! I love that it is a fragrance for all year. I also love Cartier La Panthere, but I have La Panthere Legere. I get compliments when I wear this one. A fragrance that never let's me down is Serge Lutens La Vierge de Fer. This is my easy reach. I've also recently acquired Mula Mula by Byron Parfums and I love it! I feel like this fragrance can be worn all the time and it is beautiful!! Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Love from the USA!❤❤❤
Great picks! I love No 5 L'eau and Eau Premiere...even tho they are similar, I love having both. My favorite orange blossom is Mon Precieux Nectar, and I agree wearing something close to the skin is more comforting nowadays. I am loving roja candy aoud during quarantine.
Really enjoyed your video. So many fragrances that I've never heard of. Very nice. Thought I was subscribed but I wasn't. Such a calming voice. I grab Prada La Femme, Laura Mercier's Ambre Vanille, Twilly de Hermes, and several others.
Great video Cherie! This is a great video idea, I might have to borrow it. lol! One that I can think of right off the bat would be LDDM by Andy Tauer. Thanks for sharing!
Loved your list, Cherie. I have a sample of Ormonde Woman, which I hadn't smelled yet, so went and sprayed some on after watching your description. Oh wow, I do like it a lot. I've sort of been falling down the OJ rabbit hole lately. I received Champaca by mistake when I was ordering Frangipani and the perfume shop told me to just keep it went ahead and sent Frangipani. Champaca is the only one that I've smelled that I'm not crazy about. Have you smelled that one? Need to try some of the rest of your go-to's! My go-to in the fall and winter is usually an amber scent. Dior Ambre Nuit or Elie Saab Essence No. 3 Ambre.
I agree about chanpaca- it was nice but not my fave. but cool that they let you keep the bottle! I really love Frangipani, if we don’t get any different OJ ones in Oz soon (there are so many that I haven’t smelled- we don’t even get the elixirs here) then Frangipani will be next on my list of OJ!
I need to try santal majescule and sunshine woman. I have sandalwood temple on my wishlist to buy hopefully soon. I'm in need of fragrances that are versatile. The sana jardin one reminded me of a cuddlier tam dao.
I have not smelled Tam Dao in such a long time, but I feel like ST might be a bit softer whereas TD might be woodier? From memory I think there was more going on with TD.
I’m still learning this myself but my understanding is that Chypre fragrances generally have a combination of some key ingredients: oakmoss, patchouli, labdanum and bergamot and they can have other floral notes for sure- so they can be quite floral smelling. The use of oakmoss has been restricted in more recent times so more “modern” chypres might use other things in its place.
Theperfumeshrine is a blog by a fragrantica editor who’s been in the industry. She has posts on chypres - in essence they are woody resinous perfumes, closer to fougeres than anything else because they are under the green genre. Clinique aromatics is a chypre and when I tested it it smelled like a forest and warmth, a bit vintage.
Not liking most of your list, I have grown away from crappy designer perfumes and yes Chanel 5 is so old and smells like great great grandma. There are a million much much better and more beautiful perfumes. I can’t understand why anyone would still wear Chanel 5. I don’t like any Chanel’s perfumes except for Coromandel and Beige. Ormonde woman is the worst of the line. Smells weird and nasty. Vanille d’Iris is so dry and linear. I love Iris, I don’t like OJ Iris perfume. My favorite Iris is Xerjoff Irisss. It’s crazy expensive for a small bottle but oh it’s so worth it.
Haha that’s ok, we are all different and have different taste. My list would be different now but yes there are a million more that are probably better. I haven’t tried Irisss, I want to but the price is off putting. My favourite Iris right now is Panthea Iris. What would your list be?
I thought this was going to be a commentary on Depeche Mode. Either way, I love this video :)
😂😂😂
Cherie you speak so eloquently. Thank you for all the effort you put into making these videos, much appreciated ❤
Thank you Violet! I’m glad you enjoy them 🤗

@@TheTopNote I strongly recommend you try it, but please wait for the dry down, as the fragrance becomes beautiful after 20mins or so. In the opening is mostly citrus.💕
I need to try the ormond jayne fragrances one day, they always sound so nice whenever you talk about them! :) great video
It would be interesting to see the inverse of this list , fragrances that no matter how many times or how hard you try to like them they never work 🍀
Great idea!! 👍👍👍
Yes ! That would be so interesting to see!!!
Examples of that for me would be the highly hyped Rochas Moustache; have tried but nope, so far still just don't like the smell
Yes, Alien edp. No matter how many times I attempt to like it, something turns me away. I think it's the jasmine. It's just medicinal to my nose.
Chanel No.5 edt for me every time and I love Eau Premiere, but yet to own one yet
💯 agree about Sunshine Woman! It is my top fragrance. Tom Ford Noir de Noir is my second. It always makes me feel good.
Ohhh yes excellent choice, that’s a wonderful fragrance 💞

Thanks lovely, oh that’s a slippery slope! I agree though that those OG chypres are something special. 💞

Sandalwood is one of my absolute favourite notes!! Apart from ST, what other sandalwoods would you recommend for a sandalwood lover?
Santal majescule by Serge Lutens, Santalum Slivers by Kerosene,
@@Puddycat00 Thank you! 🙏

Yes, I love Givenchy Hot Couture. The best raspberry accord ever!
Amazing choices! Although shamefully, I have not tried Hot Couture 😬🙈
Sandalwood Tempel sounds amazing. I have very similar feelings for Milky Musk by Parle Moi de Parfum. Such a creamy, comforting sandalwood. Very simple but all the more beautiful.
Oohh I got a sample of that a little while back but forgot to try it. I’ll give it a go this week!
I like your framed hound 🐶
Thanks Rich, that’s my beautiful Tess, she passed away last year. She was a great doggo! 💞💞💞
@@TheTopNote sorry x
She was a good girl! 🐕🦺❤
I love orange blossom and have been wearing Solar Blossom constantly for the last few weeks. Other perfumes that never let me down include Chanel Beige, Angelique by Papillion and Confessions of a Garden Gnome by FM.
I really want to try Angelique. Beige, yes! 👌
@@TheTopNote I know some perfume experts think Beige is boring and safe but I love it and that is the only opinion I care about 😝
Kellie Lambert 💯 that’s how I feel about Nuit de Cellophane too 💞

Thanks so much! Beautiful fragrances! Very classy, all of them. 💞
Great video, as always 😊 I agree Sandalwood Temple sure never lets me down, even wore it to the dentist yesterday!😅
I should have done that when I went last week! Haha
Encre Noire, Dior Eau Sauvage EDP, Houbigant's Fougere Royale, and also E.M. Molecule 01
Oh I totally did not even think about Molecule 01 and I also should have mentioned Vetiver Fatal! 😭🤣
Great video, Cherie! My go-to’s are Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte and Tam Dao by Diptyque.
It’s so strange but despite my obvious love of Chanel fragrances, I don’t think I’ve ever smelled Cristalle!!
Great video Cherie! This is a great video idea, I might have to borrow it. lol! One that I can think of right off the bat would be LDDM by Andy Tauer. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful choice as always Amina. Yes do it I would love to see your list! X
Just stopping by wishing you and all around a safe and happy week

What a great video! It’s good to have fragrances in this category. 😀
just got myself some samples of Mizensir! Thx for the tip xoxo
I finally bought Sunshine Woman last week my love!! Took me so long but i should have it in my collection very soon 🤣💛💛💛
Yay!! Haha 😘😘😘
I need to try santal majescule and sunshine woman.
I have sandalwood temple on my wishlist to buy hopefully soon. I'm in need of fragrances that are versatile. The sana jardin one reminded me of a cuddlier tam dao.
@Fénix sandalwood temple more vanillic and sweeter tam dao has more cedar emphasised.
I love the Cartier bottle! I haven’t tried it but I think I would like it just for the bottle!
Haha the bottle is great! But the atomiser, sadly, is rubbish 😬
I would go for Coco Mademoiselle, or Gentle Fluidity Gold (MFK), or something more powdery, like Lipstick Rose (FM).
They are all great choices, lipstick rose is a GORGEOUS fragrance! Although in the height of our summer it would probably choke me lol!
@@TheTopNote 😂😂 Very likely!!!
Still waiting to get my hands on Santal Majuscule 🧡
Haha well I hope you manage to soon!
I've gone ahead and renamed Santal Majuscule S-Majic. Because of what it does to me. 🤤
Haha love it!
Very interesting selection. I love your style of video, your voice is unique, I really appreciate it !
You’re very kind, haha I hate the sound of my own voice 😬😂
Sandalwood is a favorite note. I need to test Sandalwood Temple stat. Do you know if it has any resemblance to Tam Dao by Diptyque?
I have not smelled Tam Dao in such a long time, but I feel like ST might be a bit softer whereas TD might be woodier? From memory I think there was more going on with TD.
Great video Cherie 🥰
Sandalwood temple 💛💛💛
😉💞
Awesome video and list!💛💛💛
Thanks Joss!
Sylvaine delacourte : Florentina is my go to love love love :-)
I really want to try this House ❤️
I feel like you’ve RickRolled all of us with this Cherie 🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 well no I blame Pep as I was totally copying him!
