@@cudahitz it's all good XD Eminem was once the rapper kids in the early 2000s were crazy for, to the point that they'd get detention or even banned if they were caught listening to him. Today he has fans from teenagers to people reaching their 50s and its crazy
@@tofuteh2348 i'm 63, but my daughter is 30 and she got me into him a few years ago......and i still love his old stuff like this !!....plus i love Ronnie Radke too !!.......what other 63 yr old loves HIM??.....not many.....LOL
@@kingglobby4179 I mean, he technically did: his first actual 'song' was in 1989 or so. His first real music came out around 1993, and he obviously blew up half a decade later. So although he's been in the mainstream for 25 years, he kinda did kick-start his passion earlier...
In his newer stuff he also answers where his thoughts come from when he writes his tracks. Perfect example is on Marsh when he says something like “rain thunder and puddles are forming, I don’t cut the beat til i fuckin destroy it”... also the track Marsh is a play on his name and also about being out of this world (martian).....you should react to that on his latest album “music to be murdered by” 🤩
U gotta do Godzilla & Rap God!! U won’t be disappointed! He’s actually in the genus book of world records for Rap God & I feel like he will be again for Godzilla.
Lol he had been saying whatever the eff he wanted since the beginning and that’s why he got in so much trouble with the media and censorship. Listen to this song uncensored and really listen to the lyrics. It’s a snapshot of 90s angst. Man, those were the days. The music then was amazing. And that bass line is why Eminem blew up even among rock fans. That and the punk rock attitude lolol. He was the only rapper I listened to back then because he did combine rap with rock seamlessly. You missed my favorite line, though - the “Will Smith don’t gotta cuss in his raps to sell records” bit. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 🤣👍🏼
4:26 i like it when we see new EM fans but i have to educate you on something. (1) You said he can say what he wants, no one is gonna say anything????? Bruh! Eminem caught hell for this album, it's the Marshall Mathers LP, the biggest rap album debut of all times, opened first week with 1.7mil in 2000 ( not related just to wanted shady flex lol) (2) The media and white America threatened Eminem about his lyrics (3) GLAAD and other groups demonstrated outside the interscope offices with hateful words on picket signs against him (4) He got death threats (why do you think till today his security is one of the most tighest.....................well apart from the ones he has today, those idiots allowed a STAN to break into Ems house) (5) Some americans bought his CDs and ran them over with their cars just to show their anger (6) MTV banned him (7) Canada almost banned him from entering the country (8) Tipper gore was on his case well that woman was totally against all hip hop artists
You should totally react to some stuff from the band Bear Ghost, they arent the most well known but some definite listen tos are, Funkle Phil, Haunt the Cartoon Heart, and Necromancin Dancin (These are in order of my favorites) I love your vids!
I fell into the "rappers react to metal" rabbit hole, and I think I came out the other side, where metal heads react to rap. It's funny that rappers usually pay more attention to the lyrics and try to analyse them, while metalheads always comment on the instrumental track. Makes sense, of course.
You know who's an underrated rapper?? The one and only Weird Al Yankovic!! His speed in Hardware Store is INSANE and his condensed version of Hamilton will blow you away!!!!!
This is weird man. Metal head or not, I don’t know a single person who’s never heard this song before. I’m somewhat of a metal head. More rocknroll, I don’t even really listen to rap, but I’ve jammed this countless times. Where’ve you been?
You should should react to eminem in my head which uses the sample of the cranberrie's song zombie. React to the lyric video, otherwise you will not fully get the rhyme schemes.
you should react to some Tech N9ne, he's great at fusing rap with rock and metal and has a lot of collabs with big rock/metal names like Corey Taylor, Serj Tankian, Jonathan Davis etc.
Not liking much rap is exactly why I want to listen and give my metal head opinion on it:) Brings a fresh outlook to music I haven't heard too much of before
I feel like every person in the world has had to of heard this song at some point in there life lol
I know right!? I've been living in a hole filled with MEtallica and Guns N' Roses all my childhood😂
Cuda Hitz haha right on I love 70s rock and classic rock as well!
lol i live im german, and we dont have em's songs playing on radio :'(
Right
@@dennisking9289 ja ist doch klar da läuft nur Mainstream Scheiß, und vorallem keine alten Eminem Songs

I'm 24, but I grew up listening to 80s and 90s rock and metal and then moved toward 2000s nu metal and rock! Been stuck in a hole!

Em is a genius. As a metalhead and metal musician myself I can tell you he's got some of the most insane and brutal yet beautifully written lyrics
I completely agree! His wordplay is second to none and he is a lyrical genius
I remember when this came out and totally blew up. I think it was the MTV Music Awards where he performed this with all the clones walking in.
this song is like a 100 year old vine, the longer it stays the better it is.
I'm big fan of Eminem music and i watched this video many many times even before RUclips and I can't stop laughing everytime I watch it

He did not hit the scene 30 years ago.

The Real Slim Shady came out 2000
