It's because IW caters to them , the sitting in a corner "corner camper", the laying down on ground "laying on your pu¢¢y" with enemy marker visible, the hiding behind a half wall "head glitching", in the back of the map "bush glitching", holding a room with "clay biscuits" doing nothing the whole game and so on. IW has been notorious for catering to campers. MW19 was nicknamed Cramping Warfare 2019 for a reason, and compared to other COD games it was slow as hell, bricks in your feet trudging through mud and still "Shoot first Die first". If it wasn't for Warzone it would have tanked even more. However, slide cancelling broke the movement penalties and rushers were able to get around IW anti rushing implementations. Now all of that anti rushing and pro camping implementations have been added to MWII and so much more to penalize rushers and reward campers. They even added an animation between aiming down sites to cool down players who are too fast at getting multi kills during this last update. Every single COD game in history and FPS game for that matter allows you to quickly aim down sites and fire at the same time, let go of ads trigger while still firing, then pulling ads trigger quickly to aim at the next enemies head getting quick heads shots from one enemy to the next. You have to be extremely skilled because of you aren't, you will shoot all over the place, the sky, the ground or your teammates in HC. It used to be in MWII and it worked really well because we couldn't rush. But now, they added an animation that makes your pull your gun back to your body when you stop aiming down sites to slow you down between every single enemy you shoot. It's so stupid!!!. This game and the developers are doing everything they can to get new players or new players to stay all while trading away their base players, their core customers, the ones who have been around since the beginning. They are ass backwards at their approach. COD is the giant that it is today because of 6v6 and how it plays when the game has more rushing. The single most hated thing about COD is campers and the fact that the more fast paced movement games like the black ops series have outsold any IW game INCLUDING THIS ONE, absolutely proves without any doubt at all that the COD community is and has gone in a completely different direction than Infinity Ward the direction tried to force them to go into. Yet year over year, failure after failure they still, like a crying stubborn child who hasn't yet leaned how to communicate with it's parents, scream and kick it's games into existence. Promising everything but delivering a diaper full of crap! Enjoy your crap filled IW diaper 🧷.
The Call of Duty engine has so much potential for milsim, all it needs is slower movement and other little tweaks, no new assets or animations, just slower pace, no hud, realistic ballistic damage
