LOL - I LOVE your description of the Mug rug. A coaster and a placemat had a baby. That is a perfect description. I make coasters, "rugs" and placemats to match for gifts. "Rugs" are my favorite, they aren't too small to deal with, but take only scraps to put together.
If I had known the project wasn't going to be finished in this episode, I wouldn't have started watching an hour ago 😢
Thanks! Saved me an hour. I’ll skip it. I detest all the “HI’s” just get to the purpose of the video. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Hello from New York.
I love quilt as you go projects. A suggestion- Fuse the backing to fusible fleece and piece on the unfused side. That way the backing doesn’t get wrinkled and wonky while adding the pieces. Works great for smaller projects. Vanessa, your videos are so much fun and informative.
Thank you, Vanessa. Enjoyed and learned a lot.
Thank you so much for this video 💝I missed the live show. Migraines.
Love this your structure of this Mug Rug. I also have done quilt as you go on a mini quilt. A lot of fun any easy😊🤩😍
I was wishing you would have done the completed mug rug so we could see how you finished it. Cut it to size and bind it all around?
same! Feel like I just wasted my time with this :(
Hi from Northern California

Love this method. I just did one in batiks (my favorite fabric) and it turned out beautiful!

Nice tutorial I have lots of scraps i can use.
Someone mentioned to me that they use their scraps for pet bed stuffing. I thought that was a great idea.

Could you be quilting each pice as you go?
Vanessa-Did you first cut all your strips into different widths? I sometime like the WONKY look and do not unifi the width of each strip. C

Could a piece of felt be used instead of batting?
I use anything I have on hand. Fleece, flannel, felt, anything. I was given a bunch of fleece with obnoxious patterns on it and I use it as batting and you literally don't know there's anything underneath 😂
