the mixing of sprite animations and hand drawn for more vital moment was actually fantastic. The fight itself is also really well coreographed, with a lot of tension and references to new and past games. Honestly 10/10. Incredible work
The choreography was insane! It's snappy and shows off a lot of their arsenals in a logical way. Every action has a clear purpose and takes the fight somewhwere interesting. Every hit feels impactful. Great work! Instant sub
You have no idea how op Mario is if you think Kirby wins and as long as that seems like a cover up claim but I say that as a massive fan of both series

@@mynameisntimportant1374 EXACTLY. just to list a few of his feats: Can kill Dreamy Bowser who is powered by a universe of dreams and can warp reality itself to his own will, could still move while Culex was eating time, has light-speed reaction times because hes able to pilot the Stardriver effortlessly, and has basically FTL speed because hes able to casually outswim the force of a black hole. Kamek also stated that the star children have the power to conquer entire universes, and this is even supported by the fact that Bowser, who is also a star child, took over most of the universe in SMG. Mario also tanked a supernova point-blank, so hes also extremely durable just like Kirby is. And thats just a few. God save Kirby if Mario Kun pulls up, or if he even just pulls out the White Tanooki Leaf and just blitzes Kirby. Kirby is strong and its funny seeing how cracked he is, but when people just highball him for no reason it gets annoying sometimes
I love the fight choreography so much. The little bits of strategy like the whole poison shroom interaction is so much better than the standard “punch and dodge 24/7” most sprite battles have.

It’s so fluid and a clever way to use the environment of both… Kirby using the Swallow ability And Mario having many power ups in hand I think you got a really good characterization on both because Kirby is a character Not one that shows fear but sure one that has a more reactive fighting style Opposed to Mario who actually knows what he is doing and instead of relying on his power to overcome the fight Uses power ups in a smart way to get the upper hand
Man this is so good. I love how the background changes to a star filled space whenever Kirby gets a powerup. I loved all the references from both sides as well, especially the old and new Mario sfx! The fight in front of the castle was my favorite scene.
I really love the style of this, it reminds me a lot of really old sprite animations. And the actual animation itself is really well done, I'd love to see more of this.
I love all the references to Smash Bros, Star Allies, Mario World, Kirby 64, Mario and Luigi, and more! Took me a bit to get some of them like the grappling vine from Wonder, but I adore the amount of effort put into both the animation and references. Nice job!

This animation was absolutely amazing and showcased the 2’s abilities with EXTREMELY CLEAN animation and would be almost exactly how they would fight eachother, along with how they interact with the world. This animation overall was extremely clean and the added non-sprite frames just help with it.
Sorry to disappoint you, but kirby is a near multiversal level eldritch abomination with a pocket dimension for a stomach. He can casually crack planets in half with a single punch with no power ups.

However I disagree with the outcome, Mario seems to be equal to Paper Mario who once fought an 11 dimensional being and won (with some help but he still won). Kirby has also fought multiverse ending gods but they don't even come close to Dimentio. Mario is not just some mascot, he is probably the second strongest Nintendo character after Dimentio
