hi,I've just turbo'ed my Toyota 13b, i have not touched any fuel settings so it just standard settings on the injector pump, will this cause my motor to run to lean?i wish you were closer to me as I'd like someone with the knowledge like berrima diesel to set my new turbo correctly, love the vids
Turbos do not kill engines.
Incorrect Fuel Pump Adjustments will kill and engine.
Diesel Mixture:-
Lean - Safe and Cool
Rich - Dangerous and Hot

What's the best sized turbo you'd recommend for a Td42t?
Already a factory td but looking to upgrade soon.
Td42t, RE4 auto, 3" high flow airbox, 3" high flow exhaust, reco 11mm pump, after market tmic.
A good custom turbo like a GTurbo

I'm in Panama Central America with a naturally aspirated Nissan TD42. Just slap a turbo exhaust manifold, turbo, and intercooler or am I missing something else? Do I need to tune it? What exactly is tuning it mean, not sure I can find a competent shop locally.
Hi mate. Yep well thats the problem here too. Loads of guys calling themselves 'Tuners' but really just screwing in the fuel screw for more Power.
Youll need to look hard and wide to find a guy who will be responsible and not adjust things too high. Cheers

Hola señor, sí, podemos realizar envíos a otros países. El flete puede variar entre $ 500 y $ 700 dólares australianos.
El kit Turbo cuesta aproximadamente $ 3500 AUD.
El kit está diseñado para un Landcruiser 1HZ.
Se puede instalar en Coaster Bus, pero es posible que deba modificar ligeramente la conexión del tubo de escape y la conexión del filtro de aire.
Así que, de nuevo, si bien funcionará para su posavasos, deberá realizar algunos pequeños cambios usted mismo para que se ajuste correctamente.

Tuning is not simply one reading.
Its a combination of measurements BEFORE tuning and then comparing the amount of changes to this data to achieve a respectable gain AFTER.
So when Toyota put 10mm plunger in 1HDT they didn't know what they were doing ?

Your too far for me to travel to get a turbo fitted. How do I specify to a mechanic that I only want 40-50% increase in power and torque, is there a dyno measure ? or how should I phrase my request so he knows I can't afford breakdowns due to remoteness (Ngaanyatjarra WA)
I've been put off Turbos for 75's due to the high failure rate, though you're slowly convincing me.
