This totally work! Thank you
Excellent! Are you going to steal some gas now?
Thanks for advice, I got my petrol lock off your a champion
Awesome. And the good thing is you can still use the cap like a normal cap. The bad thing is, now your ex can dump honey in your tank.
Thanks for the video, my locking gas cap just went in the trash.
People are going to steal your catalytic converter before they try to siphon some gas.

Same!!
you can also just shoot in a screw near the grip handle - use one 3/4" - 1" long and it screws the 2 halves of the cap together. Comes right off.
Interesting idea. And by “shoot” do you mean just drive a screw in?
yes. battery operated drill and a self-tapping screw.
Nice. Thanks for explaining. I’m curious to see if this video jumps in popularity again in the next few months. As we approach spring and summer, I’m certain gas prices will spike again. I’m wondering how many people watched this video to try to siphon gas as opposed to those who needed help with their own video.
But nowadays, apparently crooks just drill the tank.
IT ACTUALLY WORKED
Absolutely! I’m guessing you needed to put gas in your vehicle and now you can!

I took the whole silver shiny bit out and it's a freely rotating tube with an end like a very shallow screwdriver tip itself. This tip inserts into a depression. When the barrel turns it rotates the main internal structure, pulling two prongs back. If the springs are too powerful then it can jam.
Jamming would not be good but I don't think these caps are made well enough to hold up to any kind of brute force. Just jam that screwdriver in there and turn!
Nice that just work for me 🔥🔥🔥
Good stuff! I don't think vehicles need locking gas caps anymore. Working at car dealerships for over 5 years, out of all the things ever stolen it's never been gas.

If you’re in America, get out!
Just edit out the first half. What a waste of time.

@@SillyReviews His name is Scott. He ain't no lady.
Ok, mister.
This was the best method! Thank you!
Brute force!
It actually works.
It definitely does. And I’m not even The Lock Picking Lawyer!
Cool tutorial!
It worked!!
Another satisfied viewer!!
that mean that there is no security because anybody can open it to steal some gas that showed. the quality of the product
Has anyone tried this on a ATM machine ?
LMFAO.

Lol
Damn I used a drill ... Oh well, next time I guess 🤷🏽♂️
You probably don’t want to risk sparks around gasoline vapors.
@@SillyReviews True !!! What I did was I actually didn't drill the metal keyhole. I drill a little bit above it on the plastic, and then I put in a screw and by doing that I bypass the whole locking mechanism and it opens and even closes like a normal fuels cap. I guess the screw pushes on a plate or something in there.
Shouldn’t have worked but it did with a medium sized screwdriver! Thanks!
It worked ! Thank you
I'm so happy to hear that! If you care to share what happened, people would love to read about it. For instance, did you just buy a pre-owned vehicle and not realize it had a locking gas cap.....and you didn't have the key?? I've seen that many times and that can put you in a real jam if you're almost out of gas.
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Please consider helping me get to 10,000 subs. I'm so close and it only took 15 years! ~Ryan :)
👋 Hey, thanks for this video. I lost my Keychain with this important gas cap key on it. I am so glad it worked. It opens and closes great but now with no key needed.
Thanks again! 👍
I'm glad it helped out and thanks for sharing your results in the comments.

Does the cap works after that or not
Probably not the way it’s supposed to.
SERIOUSLY IT REALLY DOES
This works to help you remove your locking gas cap. It will damage it, likely beyond repair.

Knock knock FBI open up
Hope they don’t have a flathead.
Thanks! My gas was just stolen out of my RV with locking cap
I don’t think this video can help you if you had your gas stolen. Or maybe I don’t understand the situation.
@@SillyReviews think he is saying your video gave the thieves the info they needed to steal his gas.
dude if u never made this my cousin would’ve been born in a dumpster!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Always happy to help.
I just had this problem last night my key wouldn't work for some reason but I just hit the key hole with a hammer once and it popped the lock!
Thanks
Now I will steal gas fr my neighbor's parked cars
I can't support that. I also can't stop you.
@@SillyReviews
Lol I am joking
Well I'd hoped so! Gas is expensive though. It's tempting.
Great video but my problem is I have the key and it’s just turning when I insert it ..Any ideas before I try the screw driver trick ?
The key is spinning freely? 360 degrees?
Yes it is and just will not open with the key in
Sounds broken. Time for the flathead screwdriver.
@@SillyReviews Thanks will do
Good luck. That’s a bummer.
i never saw a locking gas cap before
Old school.
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself
Seen?
I hope you don’t think “I never seen” is proper English. In Chicago and New Orleans, maybe.
I wish I could give u 2 thumbs down
I think you just did. Thanks!
i think he got sugar in his gas tank
Might have sugar in his loafers.
If it’s cold , light the key with a lighter let the heat transfer to the key , stick in in the hole and wait 2 mins … good luck
What a waste of time
How so?
You want to something funny? 2 guys just asked me (a woman) how to unlock their gas cap lmfao. Their key had broken in their key hole though so it never opened
Bought one today went to put gas an the owner didn't give me a key...idk If it's a different key but the car key didn't work. So I tried this method an didn't work...3 different screw drivers I gave it everything to the point where I just beat the hell out of it. Busted the key broke the gas cap spring broke key broke 4 peices came out...I didn't care bout the damn gas cap I just needed to put gas in my new ride!!! So now I just got the gas cap an I put gas cover it up with the cap an be on my way. So much bs just to put gas like why the fk would u need a damn key for gas...such a damn hassle!!! I broke the mf an now I'm good! Who cares bout a damn cap...ain't nothing goin in it anyways. Jus close it boom problem solved.
Most cars from the past 40 years have a diaphragm that would block some efforts to siphon fuel with a flexible hose. People don’t know that and think the locking cop is extra security.....which I suppose is....just not much. More of a deterrent.
@@SillyReviews yeah I broke mine..I had too. No other choice
You got it done!
Annoyed
What a waste of time.....
Not sure why you would say that but thanks for watching.
Too much personality, not enough information.
Go watch someone else's videos.
Ima try it rn cuz I lost the key
It work?
@@OSO_Savage not really…I just broke the cap so I can open it.
Wtf???
Keep gas thieves out of your tank.
How stupid.
What’s wrong?
Great show the thief how steal gas now when gas over $4.00 a gallon
Found a screwdriver on my driveway and my lockable gas cap by my back wheel this morning.
Because this happened this morning I was looking for a better gas cap for my van. F it I’m putting a pad lock 🔐 on it. I’m seeing more videos how hack a gas cap with a key
I'm sorry that happened to you. Clearly, I didn't publish this video to help criminals steal gas. And what are you driving that doesn't have an anti-syphon screen installed. I don't know of a car manufactured in the last few decades that doesn't have a screen installed to prevent this.
@@SillyReviews forgive me but how do you know if your vehicle has an anti-syphon feature? Because of how everything is with the rise in gas prices/the economy, I’m considering buying a lockable gas cap too.
If your vehicle was manufactured in the past 40 years, it probably has one.
@@SillyReviews the kids next door broke the screen.
@Madronaxyz lemme guess, they’re black.
