Dean was and still is the most entertaining entertainer there has ever been.
In the mid to late 60's there was a cartoon in a magazine depicting one man speaking to another and the caption simply read "When I die I want to come back as Dean Martin".
Dean is quite obviously the best all around entertainer of all time.
Great singer, excellent comedian, & a solid actor.
It just doesn't get any better.
To have Dean Martin and Sinatra sing to you means you are at the top of the game.

This was truly the best entertainment of the show. When your DEAN, yes When your DEAN, YOU SIMPLY ARE, YOU'RE THE BEST AND I LOVE YA!!! RIP Mr. Martin!!!!

yes he was the best part up to this point. Then in the next part was his friend Sammy Davis Jr. Both of there part was great. Dean made us laugh and Sammy touch our heart with his speech. These 2 parts was the best part of this whole party.

Saxon C That’s so true. I have watched this clip (and many others) many times, and the thing that always comes across is the genuine warmth and affection that people felt for Dean. In an industry so often known for fake sincerity, hypocrisy and back-stabbing, even now, more than 20 years after his passing, you can still feel that real love coming through the screen. And even after his death, which is usually when all sorts of people come out of the woodwork to denigrate someone, I have never seen or heard anyone who actually knew him say anything really nasty about Dean. On the contrary, most people said what a genuinely nice guy he was (even Jeannie, who surely had plenty of reason to be bitter about his womanising, is on record as saying what a good family man he was and that “if ever there was pain - and there was- there was always much more laughter. I never lost respect for him. Ever.”) And that to me speaks volumes about the kind of man Dean was.

dean martin is better than any body in that show. he can sing AND he is funny. i do love sinatra but i think that dean martin can be way better than him sometimes. sinatra is always serious

Toni Wilson I totally agree with you, Toni. Sammy had obviously put a lot of thought into his speech, and he spoke with such heartfelt sincerity. Lucy wasn’t the only one who was choked up by it, I was too.

U cant compare dean eith frank..very different yrt the same..but both equally great in their own unique and special way....

Eileen LeValley And when he went out on his own Dean proved to be a fine dramatic actor in straight roles in such films as All the Young Lions, Rio Bravo and Some Came Running amongst others.
@@lindashelley3635 I always liked him in the cowboy movies. Besides just to look at him was a pleasure. He always had a way about him that put a smile on my face.
